It explains his brother betrayed him, ect. Ect. He made the "dark rainbow of evil" (aka anti-elements of harmony)

The only really reason they didn't reuse the plot from gen 1 was Human where involved to "awakening" the power of friendship

It would have been more interesting if he made the dark rainbow in gen4

And Spike was Tirek's minion too.

G1 was WEIRD.

He's my favorite villain. I loved that he was actually smart but chooses raw power and physical roughness once he had the strength to.

Sadly he's just used for memes.
