Today I realized that Spike rivals Celestia as most politically influential character in MLP.
>Princess Cadence became ruler of the Crystal Empire because of Spike bringing her the Crystal Heart.
>Princess Ember became the Dragon Lord after Dragon Lord Spike passed the title on to her.
>King Thorax was able to coup Queen Chrysalis for rule of the changelings after Spike befriended him and acted as his ambassador for the Crystal Kingdom.
>And, obviously, his close ties with Princess Twilight of Ponyville.
What are your thoughts on this /mlp/?

I like the "Emissary" label because it ties in with Twilight's role as a diplomat (Doesn't "princess of friendship" sound like a glorified title for such?).
Ponk gets an honorable mention too, though, because she prevented war with the Yaks, fixed Griffonstone, and was the voice of reason in the Appleoosa buffalo issue.
