That was one of the worst things about the episode.

It's a bit old to say this, but that episode really felt like the universe itself was giving Spike a shit day. Suddenly introducing a random tree that dragons happen to be allergic to when we've been there a buncha times is one hell of a copout. Not to mention unimaginative.
