Spot on. I mean, at worst it's ignorable, at best, you get something good. Honestly the majority of the songs from EQG are far better than anything that ever came from S6. For example, I'd rather listen to the cafeteria song, over that atrocious waste of Rarity and Pinkie's singing VAs with that song in Spice Up Your Life. That was like what, the same verse song over and over, with the same animation for like two minutes? That was horrible, especially insulting since Rarity and Pinkie tend to have really good songs.

But where as you could ignore EQG, you can't quite do that about the series, it's pretty much whatever its word is, is law. When Haber wrote shit in Friendship Games, it was passed over. But when he writes crap in the series, it has lasting effects that now we all have to put up with, even if the rumor of him being gone is true now.

I just thought it was more of a flaw that the Mane 5 don't get proper screentime in EQG. But as other said, different Rarity at least. At worst, it's that, but at best, we get things like "Life is a Runway". But what happened to Rarity in the movie was nothing compared to what happened to her in the show this season, especially in the finale.
