She is in the military and she does pride herself on being the best. You don't get many lefties like that.
Pinkie would be far left. She values everyone even the worst in ponyvile. Right wing people have no time for losers

>nazis not right wing
>soviets right wing
In terms of political attitudes (http://catalogue.pearsoned.ca/assets/hip/us/hip_us_pearsonhighered/samplechapter/0205082386.pdf) the Nazis were a reactionary movement and thus definitionally right wing. The USSR was in contrast a radical movement and definitionally left wing. Ideology isn't actually where the left/right 'wings' come from, it's the attitude of its adherents.

But Equestria has some pretty consolidated democratic institutions per Princess Spike. Plus our leaders aren't immortal and benevolent gods, so the ponies would likely see more merit to electing the central authority. It's kind of a shame we never get a better look inside the international or internal political systems Equestria is involved in.

Fuck off

I mostly said that to be an ass, but at the time of the Great Patriotic War, the USSR took on many of the same characteristics that the original revolutionary vanguard (Lenin, Trotsky, etc.) sought to destroy. Perhaps it's just a side effect of being Russian. The Soviet Union under Stalin was in effect nationalist and imperialist, not to mention authoritarian. After deposing the Tsar, the Communist Party just recreated the Tsarist system (but worse). The ideology of the revolutionary Communist, was exactly that; revolutionary and Communist. However though, the attitude of the average soldier in the Red Army likely looked at his battle as one for his Rodina, just as the Wehrmacht or Waffen SS man fought for his Vaterland, not for some notion of «International Socialism».
Regarding National Socialism, it was certainly right wing in relation to the Social Democrats and the KPD, but not compared to French Legitimistes or Habsburg restorationists, but they were nearly irrelevant by the end of the first world war. The NSDAP and similar movements were only reactionary in the sense that they were opposed to the even more revolutionary approaches of Socialist parties and the impotence of liberal democracy.

I'd argue that the measure of authoritarianism is the only meaningful gauge of rightwingedness, at least in practical terms. When bring into a more aetheral sphere of ideas, it becomes a bit more complicated, but not really.
Like hierarchy = right wing
Don't like hierarchy = left wing
