Pinkie is my waifu.

Twilight has one of the best character growths in the whole series, yet she stays the same she's adorkable character we saw in episode 1

Fluttershy is calm and quiet, yet stands up for herself when she needs to

I used to hate Rarity seeing her as the damsel who always got her way through manipulation however "A Dog and Pony Show" got rid of the damsel part for me and slowly over the seasons I ended up liking her more and more

Applejack is adorable, she's hard-working and she always tries to go by her heart whenever she does anything and is fiercely loyal to her family if nothing else which I have immense respect for

Rainbow Dash used to be way too cocky for my liking but it grew on me, and as the show went on she became one of my top 3 of the mane characters

As for Sunset and Starlight they're meh in my opinion
I don't have any specific hate or love for either of the characters but I can see why other people like them

I think your waifu is an incredibly strong and caring pony. She's absolutely selfless and would do anything to help others. In that way she reminds me a lot of my waifu, Pinkie, except with fewer parties and more eternal suffering.

Rainbow Dash

Twilight Sparkle: The curt-ness in her earlier episodes gave good need for her to grow and develop into something special. Her dorky-ness and straightforward attitude come off rather cute and keep her humanistic instead of being seen as a perfect being of friendship.

Pinkie Pie: Bubbly, happy, and friendly are great traits to have and while her character progression has been pretty good, she hasn't had a goal for her life. It fits her personality a bit with the idea of rolling with things. Her episodes saved season 4 from being a slogging slow disaster.

Fluttershy: Kind and timid can lead to slow, soft talking that can feel warm and comforting. Slowly learning to stand up for herself, she's still willing to be open to everyone and everything. Again, not much with her goals or motivations, but not everyone needs those right? She has some of the cutest moments in the show.

Rarity: Dedication and love of her craft, Rarity shows all of her enthusiasm (and exasperation) outwardly. Keeping herself composed shows a strong woman(mare) who can handle herself and determination keeps her strong. Occasionally she can get a little bit overdramatic because of her overflowing emotions, but that's what makes her fun and interesting.

Sunset: A great example of true regret and want to repair problems she started. She is forward and friendly with goals set in mind. She follows though and acts as a mediator of sorts. Very good at task managing and leading, she has plenty of personality and charisma.

Trixie: With her reformation she has still not dropped the way she is. Rather forward and dominating, Trixie tends to be able to overcome her ego when it's important (now) but still manages to hold her wit and sass.

Rainbow Dash: What can I say. She's my waifu for being forward, not looking to sugarcoat her opinions to save someone from hard feelings. Her lazy attitude towards anything other than her passions and interests strikes a cord with me in just the right way. Dedicated and loyal to her friends, ideologies, and opinions, she keeps firm in her beliefs with very little wiggle room for change. That isn't to say she can't change her mind, but that it takes some convincing. Her way of dealing with stress closely mirrors my own and her ability to be softer with her friends (specifically Fluttershy) warms my heart and shows me that she is able to be kind and warm if needed. Showboaty and proud, she demands attention tends to not disappoint. A unique color combo and her soft blue coat make her stick out even in this world of colorful pones. She is my love.


I know I didn't do Glimmer, but I really can't get behind her character. It's a good guy who has many sociopaths tendencies, not unlike the original Twilight, but I believe her loyalty to Twilight isn't as deep as Twilights was to Celestia. This leads to a lot of problems when they try to change her core personality from season 5 in season 6, getting rid of the only thing she really had going for her character.

I give Rarity a lot of shit at times, but I get why she has an appeal to some. She quantifies the 'lady' image so prevalent through our history, but has the kind of downhome upbringing that will have her really appreciate her closest friends as well as others around her. And, she will kick ass if required. She is a certain kind of special, I tell you what.
