When they're out of school, whatever size that may be. It's been shown often that current-CMC aged fillies can be just as mature as the adult ponies and aren't nearly as dumb as real kids. So I assume AJ's ready, there, since she's thinking about running the farm. The only issue with saying the CMC are ready, to me, is that they still go to school sometimes, and they don't need to be making babies while doing that. Focus on education first.

People here really exaggerate their childishness. Compared to adult ponies like Pinkie and Fluttershy, none of the CMC are really naive or immature, so it's really not any more weird to like them in the same way. Still, no breeding yet.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I agree. But as it stands now, the difference between Pony and EqG (imho) is all in the power of imagination:

Pony bodies, in-show, have a lot of plumpness (just think of plots and hips). They're drawn to be cuddly and cute, to specifically entice the eye into wanting to hug them.

EqG bodies, instead, are kinda plain. There's no intent to entice, they're basically a semi empty canvas for the audience to fill with their immagination. So, the little girls see themselves as the main characters, while the adult fans imagine them as something the are not, in show, which is curvy busty teens.

That of course doesn't mean someone can't feel attracted to them, but it's more of a work of immagination, than something out of the eye.

No, because there's a difference: Eqg Style has some specific quirks, which are 1) almost complete absence of plumpness 2) head thrice the size of torso 3) Eyes as big as 1/3 of the head.

While you can wriggle around a bit with ponystyle, since it's already a stylized versione, you can't just draw a regular body, slap Eqg dresses / colorscheme / hair on it and call it Eqg, because the base model is clearly a different thing.

Your point stands when we're talking about those artists which draw ponies as realistic horses or something similar.
