Remember that the first EG was meant to be a one time special and remember that she choose to stay behind. So if everything had gone as expected she would never be seen again.
In RR we say no indication of her going back and on LoE she was even going to reject Equestria in favor of her friends.
So it's not the money that dictates it. It's her character and her story that dictates she stays.
