I actually just listened to (experienced?) this last night. Even through a pair of shitty apple earpods it was fucking sublime. I could feel her sitting in the same room with me, I could almost smell the tea. The directional sound was a great touch.

Anyone who's never experienced this before, go to a quiet dark room where you can be alone for a time, get some decent earphones and snuggle down. You'll thank me.

I'm confused. Can anyone tell me if it's supposed to sound forced and rehearsed? It doesn't really sound like she's just listing things off and talking dynamically. There isn't any natural pauses for thought and such. It just feels like someone is reading a book with enthusiasm. Am I missing the point? Isn't it supposed to feel real?

I am a writer, and I would simply be delighted if I can help work on writing a ASMR for any characters. I think I'm really good at writing dialogue, especially in situations that are supposed to be one-on-one in cozy, relaxing spaces.

Thinking of a calm scenario that I would enjoy, I thought of this: It's after hours at Sugar Cube Corner but Pinkie is happy for you to stay rather than shoo you out at closing time. The Cakes are out so while she's talking to you, she's cleaning up the bakery and you can hear things like sweeping, rattling of plates and utensils and running water as Pinkie washes them, etc.
