Watching episodes more than once helps you to form a more complete picture of it. Sometimes I change opinions after a second viewing, either for better or worse. It's better than one emotionally charged viewing and then immediately going to /mlp/ and shitting all over it before quickly forgetting all about it and just assuming it's shit when in reality you can't even remember what happens.

In past seasons I used to rewatch every episode at least three times, but this season I've rewatched just two episodes. One of them is TSRR, I watched it twice. The other one is the episode I've rewatched the most times, Top Bolt. Streaming when it aired in the UK, the HD rip the day it came out, and a third time during the sticky.
