It could have been much worse if they did it to Chryssy, however they rightfully avoided that. I don't really care much for a one off character like thorax. So if they had to do it I'm glad they did it to him. That being said I'm terribly found of the palette choice but as with most things I'm not fond of in this series, it's growing on me little by little.

I'll be completely honest here. I do not like the design. It's flashy, gaudy, and overall, just an eyesore. I personally would have liked to see a more subdued color palette, the tail could have been a different design, the extra horns/antlers are obtrusive, and although the 'chest gems' are ok, I think they should have just been for Thorax as 'a sign of royalty/ascension'. Lastly, I think the 'change' should have come from love being freely given to the changelings like it was implied from the beginning with thorax's arrival.

Again, this is all just opinion based, so yeah
