For me she is the main character and Twilight is just a shield that protects her from hasbro's whims, like being a princess.

For me she has the best back story, is not overpowered, has flaws, is unique, grew the most in a sensible way while still being true to herself, achieved her dreams and is enjoying what she has. She is also still open as a character and is not there just to preform a tv-show related function. She is also basically Firefly, Faust's fave horse from her childhood.

Starlight can actually do EVERYTHING the other mane 6 do. Super speed, DUPLICATION, shield, flying, teleport, going back in time.
