Dash and Twiggles were great and all the flying and testing was interesting. Was glad to see Dash's method and Twi's go back and forth without either one being overwhelmingly right.

Sum: 9/10. Stellar fucking episode. Not too fast or too slow, does what it sets out to do perfectly. Sky was an asshole, his backstory is lacking, as well as Vapor's, due to the time constraint. This episode would have profited from taking it a bit slower. Regardless, excellent stuff.

I don't know why they fucking bother in the first place, it's quite damned clear that the cider is not in any way alcoholic. We've seen the production process firsthand which was quite clearly just apples. There's not a bit of alcohol involved, or any other additives for that matter.

This was a really fun episode. I loved all the glimpses into Dashie's life as a wonderbolt, and how the episode gave credit both her and Twiggy's perspectives. Major credits for having a smart conflict to the episode.

They need to keep this up for S7 and give us more Wonderbolts stuff. Maybe some stuff that's not always centered around training and admissions.

Season finale was neat (the character interactions were fun), but other than that it didn't really have a definitive episode for me. Like, it was alright overall, but I wouldn't call it one of the better ones yet.

- premise is really gay (I miss it when solving friendship problems was IMplicit and only part of the plot)

I don't get why people thought Sky was an asshole. He was concerned about Vapor Trail before the solo trials. He didn't even know his lack of ability and I could relate to him being upset that his confidence was a lie.

At least it was better than Weed Hugger or I'd Coco Pommel Her being just a stereotype/plot device respectively.

Maybe I'm just feeling pony fatigue, but overall it was in the lower half. Only one I'd really call great was The Saddle Row Review, maybe Gauntlet of Fire too because it finally brought in some fresh stuff. Stranger Than Fan Fiction was pretty good too, some of the better writing this season. Applejack's "Day" Off and The Cart Before the Ponies were an absolute low point of the entire series, abysmally bad.

Top Bolt is a good rebound after PPOV. PPOV seems out of place for a season six episode in the same way 28 Pranks Later was.

I don't know how long does it usually take, but I learned to ride a bike in one day. It's actually one of the few memories of my childhood. I had no fucking idea of how to do it, but I was supposed to hang out with some new friends the day after and I didn't want them to see me using training wheels. I ended up covered in bruises but, at the end of the day, I could ride a bike. It's not impossible if you're motivated.

Imagine being on a trampoline all your life. When you get off, you're turbofucked because the gravity suddenly feels different and your brain completely miscalculates how much power it needs to send to your muscles to do a simple jump. It takes a while before your brain to recover and adjust to real gravity, but being able to jump again after getting off the trampoline doesn't mean you got stronger, it means your mind got used to the new situation and adapted.

I liked the episode and I loved the way Dash was written, specially compared to other episodes of the season. But after reading this, now I wonder if the Lady Writers are so much better than those other writers, or if it's just that they were extremely careful and tried to make the characters more likeable because Twi and Dash are really this girl's "favorite ponies in all of Equestria".

We need more children's OCs in the show.
