I actually read a fanfiction with the same concept a few months ago. Twilight comes home from a trip and finds Spike making out with Rumble and Spike just spills it all out to Twilight. Rumble's parents are homophobic so they throw him and Thunderlane out and Twilight tries to do something to stop it. It was really well written and I liked it. I'm not gay myself but I could imagine what it's like to come out, must be tough. The fanfic is called "Spike Comes Out" btw
