Look niggers, learn the difference between an episode and a season. The episodes of season 6 are fine. On their own, they're enjoyable and interesting. What YOU have a problem with is that they don't combine together to make an overarching story for the season. Just because you don't like the cake doesn't mean the ingredients were bad.

It's because they didn't start with season 1 or 2 Anon. They started with season 5 and 6 and loved hot garbage. Then they went back to the older seasons and we're pissed at the better writing and direction of the older seasons. They were mad that the show was about the main 6 acting together and learning with oneanother and couldn't stand the way that they were the main focus of both the plot and lesson of the episode.

Well, they weren't chasing after any macguffins or vanquishing threats to all of Equestria in it. Do you hate all slice of life episodes that end with some moral lesson? I thought it was a good take on "why some prefer to just play for fun".

Snails demonstrated he has skills beyond being a retard with a canadian accent. Flutters having fun doing something other than lazing around with critters. Dash losing to the least athletic of all her friends and not actually being a complete cunt about it. Buckball looking like an interesting game, with the way it exploits each pone species's abilities. The 4CC feels from the crowd cheering them on.

Better? Season 3 was in fact the one where the show took an objectively different turning point.

I liked all episodes in Season 6, although there were a few pretty forgettable ones - none of them have failed to make me smile.

Animation quality keeps improving with every season, continuity becomes a more consistent thing and I personally like more complex questions to be touched by the show - like Dave Rapp's episodes.
