Every time the series tries to bring back something that was popular the staff handles it like a monkey's paw curse- technically they give you what you asked, but they handle it in a way that makes you either hate it or feel dissapointed.

Rainbow power itself isn't the problem
The problemis how it was handled. We all know perfectly thastit was just forced to promote new toys, as bad as cadance and the wingz were.
If they at least try to do it right this time, despite the hideous designs, I would be ok with it.
And if it sucks, much better, I am ready to get off the ride finally. What better closure than the movie, and hopefully they make new mane 6 and I can be free.

Uh season 4 is one of the better ones

Ha, hope that was a compliment. I think a big part of it was my love of fanfiction from the beginning. Never gotten into fanfiction for anything besides mlp(I like to think it's because the characters/world were such blank slates early on it allowed people to craft whole worlds that seemed equally plausible) but I devoured, and still do, FiM fanfiction. I guess that made me more receptive to different portrayals of the characters we all know and love, so now that we have characters like Twilight growing into new roles it doesn't seem like a big deal.

I'll stand by this show till the end, even if it gets to the point where we only have one great episode a season. Never forget friends, we're here forever, so let's make the most of it.

Season 4 was ok, but I have always been skeptical of the movie because you can fucking believe it'll be an adventure focused movie because they would never ship a lighthearted fantasy full of slice of life shit that we got in season 1 and 2. Oh well, time to feel like shit while watching it.

That's one of my big fears for this film. They put far to much time in the action and we get little to shit in ponies working together being cute and solving problems together. Or worse, the six and spike are always together and noone is allowed to shineesecially my waifu.

Seasons 2-6 have none of the qualities season 1 had and they add only flaws and more errors throughout the show. You can thank your lovely executive Mike Vogel for that as well as the entire Dhx Media team.
