Party Of One is what made me realize that I'm in love with the show. It made me pause Netflix and think, why am I in love with a show made for little girls?

Afterwards, I went on the internet to find out that there are other people who like the show, called bronies. Watching Tommy Oliver's videos made me consider being part of the fandom.

I remember being new to the show and watching this part, I cracked up for like 10 minutes and I laughed about it for the rest of the day
Looking back, it wasn't really that funny, I think it was the delivery from RD and Applejack trying not to laugh, with her element being honesty and all.

Cutie Mark Chronicles. Best Night Ever is a close second, but there's too much concentrated cute in the former for the latter to overcome it.

Look before you sleep was my gateway. But i think fall weather friends was my fave.

Dragonshy had just aired when I caught wind of the show but I still watched the first two before saying I need more fucking Fluttershy and watched Dragonshy but ultimately Suited for Success is my favorite because it made me realize just how truly awesome Rarity is.

Best Night Ever was a spit to the face as a finale of the season. It's a good standalone episode, but a bad finale.

It had concluded nothing. It could've been placed anywhere in the season past Ticket Master and nothing would've changed. That's why it was a spit.
The Best Night Ever failed to do the most important thing finale has to do - to say farewell to the viewer. But we only got a generic episode.
The episode is literally the reason why it took me over a year to pick up Season 2.

Green Isn't Your Color, Sonic Rainboom and Party of One are some of my favorites.
But the real strength is the whole season as a whole, even the episodes that weren't the best contributed to a bigger whole that to this day makes Season 1 stand above the rest.

The only ones I really dislike and usually skip are the Gilda and Trixie one. Both are episodes where you're really just waiting for the resolution where you get to see the protag finally kick the antagonist's ass. Especially with Trixie.

The Gilda one is really valuable because we really get to see the relationship between the characters grow. This is the episode where Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie really becomes close friends. The episode is important for the overarching plotline of the season.
People love to limit the overarching plot of Season 1 to the GGG, but there are many episodes with stories and plot development, and this episode is one of the more important ones.

The Trixie episode contributes to the worldbuilding by introducing a unique creature, helping us see how the world works, and it's also important for Twilights growth. It's an important comparison point for the strenght of Twilight's magic, it helps us track how much stronger she gets.

The one where Rainbow Dash ditches her friends to be the meat in a Wonderbolt sandwich.
