No way in hell would they make a new mlp board.
Plus even if this wasn't a containment board this board doesn't get enough traffic to justify it.

Here's what /mlp/ needs

Generals banned other than for things that require them like new episode premieres, movie premieres, and big news....generals just become useless threads that serve more as chatrooms for select groups of circle jerkers than actual threads that keep the board lively. Porn forever banned...have you ever taken a look at the clop threads on /trash/? It's just image dumps with zero discussion and usually the same images over and over again that anybody who even browses derpi once a week has already seen. Pony porn threads are useless....yes well all like porn, but it doesn't warrant threads. Lastly, mods who give a fuck....and no, not in the sense that they should "ban eqg cuz it triggers me" whoever said that is a fucking autist, but in the sense that shitposters who are clearly here just to troll the userbase and talk about how much they hate MLP should be fucking banned...just like you would be if you did that on any other board, instead mods are busy deleting threads that people here enjoy rather than stomping out idiotic drama starting troll threads.

I was curious enough to count.
Hiding every recurring thread I found I came up with 64 threads, see pic related, so that's ~42.7% of the board's 150 threads. Not quite 60-70%, but still a big chunk of the board's space.

There are a lot of hilarious images that are NSFW, yet they cannot be posted without ban.

Example being that I was banned for a gif of Twilight angrily fucking a glass of milk.
