DA is at least meant for >art, whereas Tumblr resizes and compresses pictures to shit. Besides browsing Tumblr is horrible (due to both web design and blogposts), and anything worthwhile ends up on Derpi anyways.

Just how do I find clop on DA?

Finding pony art? Derpibooru and Deviantart. Posting pony art? Tumblr. The arbitrary Lke system is more satisfying than deviantarts and more people actively use it as tumblr works for pretty much anyone and everything not just art and artists. The place feels more casual where posting sketches, doodles or even failures feels more comfortable. Askblogs and blogs in general works much smoother than series and blogposts do on deviantart because of your ability to run several blogs on the same account.

I definitely prefer following artists on tumblr, where Deviantart and Derpibooru is for finding new artists I haven't seen before.
