With the movie, Hasbro's pretty big on "Go big or go home" so I've been assuming the toys would be updated for the movie for a while. These things look really cute but, I do like the regular brushables more. Ah well. But a question: if these really are for the movie, why is Lyra here? Will she play a part in the movie? And if so, what?

Also, pic related is the new MLP logo for EVERYTHING. This might cross over into the show. What do you guys think about it?

I've got a few things, when I get my next paycheck I'll order the >EqG Mini Vinyl Scratch. I've only been waiting since February since they announced it for it to be available enough to where I can easily find one for not 3x MSRP.

I found the show through collecting so OFC I have a huge autistic collection.

I haven't gotten anything recent except for a Glimmer and an articulated Coco, and a Dash mini. I stopped getting every new release in maybe 2012 cause the toys got super boring for a while.

I really want Pursey Pink and the Pearly brushables, but they've been so shit with brushable distribution I may just go ahead and grab them off EBay.
Also they rereleased the set with Minty so I'm excited about that.

I like the new designs, especially those Twilights. I'm hoping it's a complete overhaul so we get new pones in new molds, not just the M6.

My walmart just got the GoH Celestia and Nightmare Moon statues. I wanted them so badly, they're surprisingly gigantic and the price is nice but every single one had horrendously sloppy molding/painting spots on them. Like, they looked straight up chinese factory dirty and I checked all of them (about 6-8 boxes).

When the show is good there's a noticable lack of "Here's a new $60 toy for you to spend money on" that butted its way into the show.

So even though you're trying to convince people here that it's never ever ever that black and white (on top of how your bosses have never done anything wrong, even with the Michael Bay films), the vast majority of the time, it is that way.

Transformers Beast Wars had several toy mandates, and it's regarded as an incredibly well written show. When you work on a cartoon for a toy company, it's your goddamn job to write in toys. If you can't do that, that's your fault as a writer. You're writing a toy commercial, write it well. Also, Hasbro still expresses control over multiple episodes without toy mandates. Also, Starlight Glimmer is one of the worst things to happen to the show, and she wasn't a Hasbro mandate, she was a creation of the writers. The writers are the ones who couldn't write Rainbow Power as anything more than a shitty DBZ clone. They're presented tools for storytelling, they don't know how to use them.

Also, in the case of the Transformers films, the amount of say they're allowed to have is limited, because that's how movie companies work, they fight over these things. That's why they made their own self finaincing film studios, so they could make sure their say is secured. Transformers doesn't carry Allpsark Pictures with it.

And that same episode is the reason Starlight exists-they had to do something with it. We've seen that the writers are very capable with making the show (by the fact that good episodes exist), so they clearly aren't the ones directly responsible for garbage finales, premiers, and regular episodes (helicopters, anyone).

And if you're going to deny that the situation isn't ham-fisting toys into the script (since there's more than one way of getting them into the story as you listed with Transformers) you have the choice of declaring yourself a retard or a shill (everyone whose big is doing it nowadays, so don't act like it's out of the ordinary).

I don't know what the case is with money involved, like I don't know if they took the money or not, nor do I know the full story, but they definitely bit off more than they chew. They basically thought they could fill the preorders, despite not being quite being prepared, which lead to all the delays, as well as different problems. Basically they fucked themselves over.

Most of them are available on Amazon at the moment, at least, for their normal price. From what I could tell, of what was released, only Pinkie is unavailable now.
