That's how it should work in theory, but the problem was that there were only 2 or 3 outstanding episodes, while the others were just "meh".

As for MMC, the songs were good and Celestia's Ballad is one of the best moments of the whole series, but the whole episode was a mess plot-wise.

This is the first season where I've felt the overall quality of the show has just fucking nosedived. Either the new writers have no idea what the fuck they're doing, or so preoccupied with trying to make me give a fuck about Glimmer and crapload of new characters they keep throwing out there that they're either ignoring or half-assing their handling of the ones I actually do give a fuck about.

Every other season had it's share of weak episodes, mishandled characters and missed opportunities, but season 6 is the only one where I actually feel like I've been ripped-off.

I can't believe I'm really this bothered about a fucking kids tv show that 5 years ago I would never have imagined for a second having even the slightest bit of intrest in.

Why the fuck does this matter to me so much? Why the fuck am I even here?

Solid? The tolerable episodes like Buckball Season or Heart Waring Eve are only accepted because they don't mess up established lore or characters but they are boring as drinking water.
