That's the big reason why Faust left the show.

Well he is a massive attention whore, but at the same time, he's kinda right. S6 is so unfocused it's not even funny. If they wanted to do a Glimmer saves the day final, then the whole season should have been about Glimmer, fuck Spike and the mane6. This final comes out of left field is because of how these chuckle fucks handled her. She's either not important enough to get more screen time, or they don't won't to write her. Either way I don't know why they would green light this, when Glimmer only gets two episodes this season, and no the support role don't count as her episode. They pulled the same shit with Twilight after getting her wings. Too afraid to actually write stories about her, but they had to because she part of the show.

I don't blame Jim, McCarthy and Vogel. As much as they fuck up form time to time (Meghan with Equestria Girls 1 and Jim/Vogel with episode premises and damage control) they still care about the established lore and characters. Theyve been with FiM since Season 1 along with Larson and Amy Rogers.


The problem i have is Haber doing shitty job editing the scripts or finding writers who are big fans of the show or at least who take their job seriously enough to dwell into MLP universe. In entire season 6 cast, only Confalone was competent in that regard. Rest of the writers just treat it like another Johhny Test tv show and bonus paycheck.

If I'm to be honest, I thought season 4 was weaker at this point than season 6 has been.

Granted I think season 6 has had more middle-of-the-road episodes, but nothing which I found wholly disagreeable, and in that respect it's kinda like season 1.

Season 2, 4, and for the most part 5 have been more peaks and valleys as far as quality, with really likable episodes interspersed with episodes that did nothing for me.

I will watch the movie in 2017 if it's true that starlight glimmer isn't there and because there are rumors that they will explain a few things they didn't explore in the show such as the alicorns and other potential cool things they never told us and that we have been waiting for since years.

I didn't sperg out when twilight got wings or when the first eqg movie came out, though I haven't been the biggest fan of these things myself. Although Twilight has not had a single good episode ever since her asension, actually, she barely gets any episodes at all. The second eqg movie changed my mind about that franchise though. Can't believe I'm more interested in the new equestria girls movie than in the show now, things used to be the rather the opposite. Way to do a brilliant job, staff writers. S3 didn't bug me that much.

It didn't have Applejack's "Day Off", Buckball Season had that terrible tell don't show dialogue in the middle, Flurry Heart is a bigger cancer than Twilicorn.

But I don't think that S6 was irredeemable, or lacked potential or good writers. Starlight was a good idea to shake up things without having to keep the characters from changing too much on account of being shown in a sometimes non-sequential format.

While Dave Rapp went outside of MLP's usual tone, he wrote a few good eps and Nick Confalone at least tried to write good eps and I think he succeeded for the most part.

It still didn't change that it was disappointing.

The McCarthy era had more decent writers than not (though that was thanks to Faust's connections) and while flawed, she at least held the line to keep the show together. The Vogel era had only a few decent writers and it seems Hasbro just wants to pump and dump this generation so they can forget about the bronies tarnishing their PR. I feel that doing the bare minimum and letting it drag on is essentially the politically correct way of killing the show.

I can get Murrison's anger, but he can't do that on the internet. You can get away with it, sure. But you'd have to be mega autistic in order to feed off of it.

2016 Ghostbusters deserves every bit of hate it got and then some. You don't just reboot something like Ghostbusters. At most you do a soft reboot like Force Awakens did. Not saying that was perfect, but it didn't ignore the old movies existed and go out of its way to insult the fans of the originals, much like GB2016 did.

As for the person in the OP image, what are they bitching about? Season six hasn't been perfect but to me and what seems like others, the pacing has been what's bogged it down. Changling episode especially, with the song at the end fixing everything. That episode at least deserved better pacing from the start or even just two episodes. Outside of that they've been pretty damn good. Hasbro pushes obvious shit and yes the show could be a lot better if they didn't have such a stick up their ass, but I don't think the show is bad yet. The ponies do their every day normal things, still have actiony or adventure episodes, and is cute ponies doing cute things.

Even reforming as many villains as they can makes sense to me considering that friendships and the bonds between characters is an actual force in their world. It's in the title of the show.
