What do you think an episode needs to make you feel?

There's a feeling I can't quite describe that I've felt very, very few times throughout my life

A victory through ingenuity and tenacity in the face of indomitable odds, where characters succeed despite all odds

Of course, it has to be built up well enough to be believable, but when it does damn you bet I'm rooting for them, looking like an idiot in my chair as I make dumb hand gestures and yell "YES" at the monitor, but it's fucking awesome and inspirational and all too rare

A World Without Kindness was one
That one fic about Twilight and co travelling to the alternate dimension with Nightmare Moon and Madame Orange and a shitload of twists, I once stayed up 'till 4AM reading and was sorely disappointed when it basically ended on a cliffhanger

Celestia. It needs Celestia.
It's been 6 years and I barely know her.
I see ponies, but I feel nothing.

I guess people hate it because Scoots, but the end of Sleepless in Ponyville hit muh feels harder than pretty much every other episode. I like stories involving fraternal friendships like that, especially in Scoots case where she's looking to adopt that kind of relationship all her other friends have. Sisterhooves Social was another good example of that kind of feel I enjoy the most.

One of those issues to be presented:
- immortality blues
- scoot's fate about flying
- a serious conflict between Twilight and Spike creating a rift between those two.
- Spike's learning that he would never grow up, neither get the wings

Especially if Twilight would say, that she never wanted assistant in first place and she just let him be, just because.
Oh shit, that would be a killer. You could pinpoint the exact frame, when Spike's heart breaks.

An episode where they are at old age and have flashbacks about the past. And they talk about times where they wished they could change or do somethibg else. Basically episodes where the characters remember about the good times or bad times in their past. It makes me sad whenever i see these types of episodes. Its like i can see myself doing this when me and my friends can no longer move as well as we were when we were young. I dont like the concept of getting old, but its nature. Its something that no one can control, and something that everyone has to go through.

I used to be picky, but after MMDW2 the only thing an episode needs to make me feel (grateful) is that I don't want to kill myself after watching it. So far the episode with the changeling, D&D and yesterday's episode have done a good job.
