This episode was bad, and I'm starting to see how dumbed-down even Pinkie is getting, along with all the other characters, as much as it hurts to say about her.

The writing is shit, the show is going to shit. It's already shit. MLP used to be a smart, clever show, written in such a way that older audiences can enjoy it, and little kids will be entertained by it. It's now written for pre-schoolers, as it has gotten painfully boring/predictable, and the characters are now shallow as can fucking be, only being supplied with essential dialogue and whatever shit-comedy one-liners the talentless writers can make come out of their mouths. Continuity is a whole fucking mess now, and not even the show staff can make sense of how to properly plot the stories and character dialogues.

I used to be optimistic, even after season 5, telling other butt-mad peeps "Shut up. It's still a good cartoon. Quit nit-picking" but I've hit my tipping point, and realized, the show has long lost its special nature. It's now a mediocre cartoon living off its first two successfully good seasons. It can only rely on cheesy, repeat moralfagging, spergy memefaces, spoonfeeding current events and lore, character gimmicks, and rushed two-parter arcs.

Goodbye show-canon Pinkie. Goodbye everypony else. I'm locking away my pre season 3 Equestria ponies in my headcanon where they are safe from the brain-melting that is new and dumbed-down seasons.

There's 'Fluttershy' and then there's 'Assertive Fluttershy'. Her character is shit because these are the only two dimensions she has.

Fluttershy falls under the same line as Applejack, but serves as her parallel; Applejack has drama whilst Fluttershy IS drama. Applejack has a large expanse of character to expand upon. Fluttershy has very little.

Both of these characters both serve at their best in the background as a supporting character, yet Fluttershy is situationally the weaker of the two, serving to fill more of a niche role overall.
