Only Stand users can see Stands, but can still be easily affected by them. If that's so, it could probably sneak up on a pony completely unaware of it and do its job.

Lets not forget that SHA, even when distracted, will eventually reach a target and explode, only to respawn until it finds the targets it has been assigned to. Heat can distract it, and it can possibly be lured into a place where it cannot escape, making Kira return to get it but so far as simply destroying it with magic or other skills wouldnt be possible.

The thing about Kira is that he's been really good at blending into normal life. Beyond his hand obsession, he wouldn't make it very obvious he's the one killing others as he literally tries to stand out as little as possible. His stand's destruction method also completely destroys evidence of his actions with its explosions.

Did you even watch the episode SHA appeared in?
Jotaro could barely injure it and his stand's physically one of the strongest ones in the series. They even tried luring it to a heat source and when it took the bait, it just respawned to try again.

It wasnt until it was unable to move (due to heavy gravity) that Kira had to actually come back for it because it was linked to one of his hands

The rest is literally just the logic JoJo follows, and while Celestia raises the sun as her talent, it doesn't equate to a bond with it that could suddenly be weaponized (until seen in the show, anyway), just as Luna's moonrise is of no real connection to her dream magic.
