>Well you certainly can't doubt this pony's desperation. The question is: is he lying, or being genuine? He IS in a jail cell after all. Chances are he isn't exactly the Element of Honesty....not that you are yourself, but still!
"Well...fine, you can come out."
>As soon as the lock clicks open and the door slides away, Ocean Breeze engulfs you and Krisa of you in a hug so big he needs his wings to do it.
>"Oh thank you thank you thank you! I'll find a way to pay you back for this!"
>"Eheh...you too, buddy." Krista halfheartedly hugs back. "Geeze, you're thin. When was the last time you had a proper meal?"
>"Huh? Oh, just before I got dumped in here." For a pony who's supposedly been in here as long as he was, he's being mighty candid about it...maybe that's just the joy talking.
"Save the hugging for later, we still have to get out of here you know."
>"O-oh. Right, right." And as quickly as he moved out of his cell, he releases you. Breeze takes a quick look back and forth through the doorway, before leading you two down the left side in a surprisingly quiet trot. "Come on, its this way out."
>The three of pass by a few more doors, some of them open, some not. Those that are appear to be no more than storage closets.
>At the end where the hallway makes a sharp corner the stallion leading you comes to a halt, so suddenly that you bump into him fluff-first. Krisa bumps into you not a fraction of a second later.
>"There's a guard ahead." Breeze whispers. "We need to be quiet." And sure enough, just around the corner is a unicorn mare, clad in the same chestpiece and helmet. She's not exactly looking in your direction, reclining backwards in a chair with her hooves on the table, but you don't doubt she could spot you out of the corner of her eye at a moment's notice.
>>
>>28308792
Anything around we could use?
>>
"Is there something here we could use? She's going to spot us if we just walk out there."
>"We could check those rooms we passed, maybe there's something there?" Krista suggests. You and Breeze both nod, its not like there's anything within reach right now anyways.
>The three of you double back down the hallway, finding two doors open. A quick look inside both reveals they don't appear to have anything too obviously helpful, just the kinds of stuff you'd expect to find. Cleaning supplies, buckets, brooms, mops, paper, lanterns with candles, and so on.
>Krista takes the left room, Breeze takes the right, while you keep watch.
>"Oh hey, look at this!" Krista seems to have found something in one of the rooms, a book, to be exact. "A Guard's Oath - a tale of intrigue, passion and-oh my, is this what I think it is?" She brings a hoof up to stifle her giggles.
>"I think I heard that mentioned before...some ponies take naps in these rooms too." Breeze says as pokes his head out. It looks like he's found a small pillow and a rolled-up rug. Nap breaks indeed.
>You'll certainly have to get creative with what you have here, but maybe there's a more specific kind of item you want to look for?

>>28309617
Well if it's THAT kind of book, then maybe...
>>
>>28309617
>>28309716
There's gotta be some way we can make a distraction or something. Unless we can get away with sneaking in a cardboard box.

Is the building formatted in a way that we could try making a small noise and get her to check out something in a nearby room? Then we could sneak by while her back is towards said room's entrance. Setting the book in plain sight in there so she'd spot it would probably buy a few extra seconds too.
>>
>>28309617
>>28310000

What if we set the book near a cell and lured the guard so we could lock her up in a cell? Or would that cause too much noise once she's in?

It would be funny if we could attatch a string to the book and lead her down the hallway. You think krissa or we could make some string?
>>
>Maybe you have everything you need right here...just need something to act as a lure...then another to conceal yourselves, and...aha!
"I've got an idea! Breeze, get those cardboard boxes over there."
>The half-Zebra nods and gets to work, returning shortly with a pair of large cardboard boxes, big enough to fit two of yourself.
"Now, let me see that book..."
>....and it was THAT kind of book. Krista was right: 'As he brandished his spear the guard head his companion ask "Your weapon needs polishing..." as he felt the feathers'- yea, no. You don't need to read anymore.
"W-wew. Okay then. Krisa, help me weave up some silk."
>All moth ponies can make their own silk, its just that most don't have the right type or ability to weave, or else there'd be a lot more mothpony tailors around. Still, for the purposes you're planning, a simple string will do just fine.
> In just a few moments you have your trap all set up.
"So the plan is, we'll make a noise to draw her attention towards the hallway, while we hide in these boxes. We'll tie this string to pull the broom down to get her to come here, where we'll plant this book to keep her distracted."
>"Sounds good...but why not lure her further back, into the cells, even?" Krisa asks.
>"That might cause too much noise." Breeze replies. "Those walls echo in there. She could attract other guards."
>As your two companions set up just outside, you carefully tie the string around the broom handle and set the raunchy book to an appropriate page: 'Oh, it seems I have impaled myself on your shaft!' Cries the companion. 'What ever shall I do?'
>There, that looks like a good place. You hide yourself under the closest box and signal that you're ready. A few taps against the wall by Breeze brings the mare towards the corner.
>"Huh? What was that noise?" The unicorn seems to be ignoring the huge boxes against the wall, so far so good. A quick tug of the string sends the broom to the floor with a clatter.

>>28310474
>"Hello? Is somepony there? Show yours-Ooh, what have we here~?" You can practically hear the 'distraction' already. And thanks to the holes in the box, you can see it too.
>"Come on, lets go." Breeze begins to make his way down the hall. Though you from your view here, you can see the guardsmare quite clearly. If you were careful enough, you might be able to close and lock the door behind her...do you?
>>
>>28310502
No let's just sneak away.
>>
>>28310502
She'd definitely sound the alarm if something like that happened. Best to stay as stealthy as possible.
>>
>>28310502
It's tempting, but no. Let's take our cardboard train and see what lays beyond. Onwards, boxcar bandits!
>>
>>28310502
Time to solid snake out of this place.
>>
>Tempting as it is, you think you'll just keep sneaking. She'd probably just sound the alarm anyways.
>Welp, time to take this cardboard train outta here!
>Breeze leads from the first box while Krisa and you follow behind. The box train is slow going, since you're taking care not to make too much noise and have to take care to stay still whenever a guard passes by.
>With how little of the outside you can see you start to lose track of where you are, not to mention the burn in your thighs from squatting so much. At least you can't say you skipped leg day...your buns will be the envy of stalllions everywhere!
>The next time you stop you find yourselves inside a dark room, this one bigger than the last ones. Unequipping the cardboard cover Breeze closes the door as quietly as he can.
>"Okay, it should be safe enough to take a break here." Breeze reaches for the light switch. "Are you two alright...oh."
>Poking your head out of the box you find yourselves in a medium sized room, with boxes marked 'evidence' laid neatly upon shelves.
>"Well, this is no Captain's office, but I think we can find something useful here, can't we Sami?" You hear Krisa push her head through the flaps behind you.
>It looks like Breeze has led you to the evidence room, and while you don't think you'll find the proof you need in here, there still could be some useful stuff.

Is it too late to say it probably would have been better for me to plan out the place's layout before I started?
>>
>>28311015
we're on a time limit, we should just quickly look through the stuff and go.

yes.
>>
>>28311015
Look for anything marked 'mine explosion' or 'flower bomb'. If we can find evidence for our case that would be awesome.
It'd be sweet if we could find anything on Breeze, but I still say we make this a quick pit stop.

>>
>You think it'd be best to make this quick, you're still on a time limit after all.
"Hey, Krisa. See if you can find anything related to our case."
>"Right on it, Sami!" The moth mare gives a crisp salute, before buzzing off (as much as moth wings can) down the aisles.
>It would take quite some time to browse through all these boxes, but you TECHNOLOGY!
>In this case, alphabetisation. "Mine explosion" and "Flower bomb" seem like your best bets.
>Though try as you might, 'F' and 'M' don't seem to have anything useful. Or anything at all, for that matter.

>"Is this what you're looking for?" Breeze hoofs you a box.
"...huh. Thank you."
>It looks like it was under 'M' for 'Moths.' How racist.
>You find some documents in an envelope right on the top. Standard stuff, mostly. Pictures, checklists, nothing you wouldn't expect.
>Rocks, pickaxes, a miner with flowers growing in their mane, literal crystal flowers, a picture of Krisa, Comet and you...oh!
>Right at the bottom of the box, lies your tool belt! And Krisa's alchemy kit, too! Complete with samples of the raw materials, even.
>"Did you...find anything about me?" Breeze peeks into the box curiously.
>>
>>28318232
A pony with actual crystal flowers growing out of their mane sounds really cute.
Hooray for equipment!

Nope, unless you're secretly a mothpony, I don't think there's anything about you in here. What would your files even be labeled under? Zebroid? Zony?
>>
>>28318232
We don't know enough about you to find anything. They seem pretty racist so that might help.
>>
>>28318232
Split up, check Z for Zebra, B for Breeze and O for Ocean
>>
>>28318232
Could we use our toolbelt and the alchemical supplies to help us escape?

Also, if Z, B or O don't work, maybe check 'H' for hybrid, or 'P' for Pegasus cross. I wonder what we'd find on him, if anything.
>>
>>28318301
it does huh

Yeah, okay, I'll run. Give me about half an hour.
>>
"Unless you're secretly a moth pony too, no. What do you think the guards would label you under? Zebroid? Zony?"
>"I don't know. I never head anything about evidence." Breeze shrugs.
>"Ooh hey! You found our stuff!" A hoof reaches into the box out of nowhere and takes the equipment. Krista's voice pops out between a pair of boxes beside you.
"Gah! Krisa, a little warning next time?"
>"Haha...sorry. I found something for our friend here though!" Another box exchanges itself for the one in your hooves. This one is unlabelled. Strange. Still, you pass it off to Ocean Breeze so you can put your belt back on.

>Hah, feels just like you remember it. There isn't even a single scratch on your favourite hammer! Though you suppose that speaks more for your care than anything these Guardponies do for their evidence. As your uncle used to say in his ridiculous accent, "Aardvark pvays off!"
>...or was it, "Hard work pays off!"? You could never tell.
"Did you find anything?"
>"Nothing much..." Breeze sighs. And he wasn't kidding. Just a small empty saddlebag, and an incomplete memo saying "pending further investigation". Dated half a year ago. Geeze, Breeze wasn't kidding about how long he stayed in here.
>"Maybe we should check out this Captain Cuckdown's office? If we can find the documents clearing our names there, maybe you could find something too." Krisa returns fully kitted out. The leather straps fit her well, if you do say so yourself...that came out wrong
>Breeze just sighs again. "Its Captain Lockd...oh, what would be the point? Look at how old this is, they probably forgot all about me!" He passes Krisa the memo. "Let's just get out of here."
>>
>>28323786
Agreed.
>>

I guess we could just go then. Maybe they won't notice that you're missing if they forgot about you, haha

let's leave the station, going to the captain's office would just be a bad idea, isn't there some sort meeting there?
>>
>>28324178
Leave the station, I'd figure.
>>
>>28324178
Leave the station.
>>
"Let's just get out of here first. If we find the Captain's office, then we'll decide on searching it, alright?"
>Breeze and Krisa both agree, with how much time you probably have left, standing around to consider options isn't a luxury you can afford.
>Back into the cardboard train you go, with Breeze leading, as usual. The extra equipment slows you down a little, but no blacksmith worth his anvil makes a loose belt that lets his tools sway free in the air!...that came out wrong too.

>Through the box's slit you suddenly see Breeze come to a sudden stop. It almost makes you crash into him with force, but luckily, you mange to stop yourself. Not so much for Krisa though. She bumps into your butt snoot first.
>"Hey, what's the-mmmf!" You plug her mouth before she can speak any more. You were just about to ask the Breeze the same question yourself, but a new voice silences you before you can speak.

>"Is this meeting over? I'll be needing to get back to guarding the prisoners." You recognise that bored voice! Grumpy McBooknerd! (still not his real name) And there's a Sergeant too? Has Breeze led you straight to that meeting?
>"No Corporal, stay here until the Captain comes." A gruffer, deeper voice replies.
>"Yeah, stay here until I come." An older mare's voice chimes in. Is that the Captain?? What could they possib-

>The sound hoofsteps following an opening door cuts through your thoughs. "Ehrm..excuse me, Captain? There's something you'll want to see."
>"Again? Oh fine, take a break for now." The mare yells. "We'll finish this later~" the sultry tone makes the implications...scary.
>Not even a second later, you hear the sound of hooves trot past. They almost took your box off.

>>
>>28324432
>Breeze is the first to poke his head out, Krisa and you follow soon after. The look on their faces makes things clear.
>"Did they find out about us?" Breeze asks.
>"But look, the Captain's office! This could be our chance!" Krisa points to the door you've stopped beside. The door's been left open, and you can see a surprisingly normal desk with filing cabinets against the wall, with the name on the plaque shiny and clear. 'Lockdown, Captain.'
>>
>>28324443
we probably have less than 10 minutes, it should be enough to go through the files and get out.
inb4 it's full of porn.
>>
>>28324443
No, leave. They're on the alert for us and we'll get trapped.
>>
>>28324443
We'd need to be extremely quick about it.
>>
"They haven't sounded the alarms just yet, but we'll need to be quick about it."
>Krisa and yourself rush right in and get right to work rifling through those file cabinets. Breeze looks nervous, likely because he's afraid of getting caught, but joins the search anyway, closing the door behind you.

"Find anything, Krisa?"
>You ask with your snout buried in a stack of files. Much like the evidence room, it is alphabetised, though searching only turned up unrelated documents. Even for Breeze's case.
>"Uh...well I think I found the Captain's porn stash..." Krisa holds up a magazine in her hoof, showing a centerfold of an admittedly good looking Earth pony stallion wearing a bridle. "Kinky mare. I wonder if Comet could use this? Or we could use it as blackmail material. Either way, I'm keeing this." Krista slips the magazine into her satchel before getting back to work.
"Krista, please, we-
>"I have found something." The zebra-pony calls out. He holds a letter, hoofwritten, it seems. "It was on the Captain's desk. There is also a button hidden under it, but I didn't dare press that."

>Ignoring the suspicious button for a moment, you take the letter and start reading.
>W-whew. There's some pretty interesting stuff in here. Its proof of the Captain's corruption, she made a deal with Quick Cash, the mine's owner, to 'overlook' some of the evidence. Namely, the extent of the cause of the explosion. You guess that means the cause wasn't completely your fault after all! Quick Cash knew how your alchemie'd pickaxes would react to the crystal, and offered her a cut of the insurance money to keep her mouth shut. You relay this discovery to Krisa and Breeze.

>A series of knocks on the door interrupts any celebration though, and a stallion's voice calls out.
>"Hello? Captain? Are you in there?" Damnit, a Guard's at the door!

Pausing for now. I'm not feeling too good.
>>
>>28324876
Move next to the door and sneak by or knock him out when he comes in.
>>
>>28325181
I'd say the former. Let's not add assaulting a guard on our growing list of charges.
>>
>>28322812
>>
>>28324876
>>28327445
Not to mention mothponies aren't the strongest. If we fail to knock out the guard we'll bein deep crap. We need to hide if he's coming inside the room. If he leaves, then we need to boogie on outta here.

hope you get felling better soon, CG
>>
>The three of you drop dead silent, neither of you wanting to risk making a sound and tipping the guard off. You sneak as quietly as you can towards the door.
"Shhh."
>Krisa and Breeze take up positions crouched on one side of the door, with you on the other. Bringing a hoof up to your lips, telling them to stay quiet as you reach for the doorknob. You plan to sneak by once he enters, but you're prepared to fight if you have to with your lithe moth frame and all that entails

>The door begins to creak open, and so you withdraw your hoof before it can touch you.
>"Hello? Captain? I thought I heard something in here..." The guard begins to step in. You try to blend in with the floor as he takes his first step in. One hoof. Two-

>The shrill shriek of bells ringing brings them back through the doorway. With a gasp, you hear the guard's galloping fade away down the halls.
>"Its the alarm! They've found out about us!" Breeze immediately begins to don his cardboard camoflague once more.
>"Forget that, we need to move! Now! The exit is so close!" Krisa urges.
>>
>>28334296
Breeze should lead the way, time to run.

As a blacksmith, shouldn't we have slightly better coordination and strength than other mothponies like comet?
>>
>>28334296
Just fuckin' go for it.
>>
>>28334296
Might as well take our chances now.
>>
"We don't have time! Breeze, get us out of here!"
>You shout, slapping a hoof on his side for emphasis. Its not like being quiet matters anymore.
>He whinnys at your command, galloping out of the office at full speed. Krisa and you follow after him. A bit of a shame you can't bring your cardboard box with you, you'd grown to enjoy the feeling of being inside it. A feeling of safety, inner peace, like it was your destiny to be inside that box...
>...Gah! Boxy fantasies aside, you need to keep yourself focused! Left, right, left, left, Breeze leads you closer and closer to the exit. And with that, freedom.

>There! You can see the exit! Not that you'd ever been there before, but with how the sunlight streams through the windows on the doors, it might as well be a stained glass portrait in Canterlot Castle itself. Just as well too, you were running out of breath...
>A flash of light blinds you for a split second, and suddenly three ponies appear before you! You and Krista manage to stop yourselves before you can hit them, but Breeze was too close for any of that, and bounces off the lead pony with a dull metal clang.

>"Stop right there criminal scum! You've violated the law! Turn around now and go back to your cells, and we won't add this escape attempt to your records." The Earth pony mare steps forward, even without a full Royal Guard's kit she looks imposing all the same. Shit, this must be Captain Lockdown. You recognise the voice.
>And flanking her are two more guards. One Unicorn, the other, a Pegasus. The Corporal from earlier, to be exact. Whom you still don't know the name of.

>"Corporal, Sergeant, arrest the zebra stallion and these two moth mares if they don't comply." Wait, what? Mares!?
>>
>>28335722
Can we fight with our tools and Krisa's alchemy? We can distract them for our friends to actually do stuff.

H-hey! I'm not a mare... Look at me, do I look like a freaking mare! I'll have you know, many mothponies could only dream of having a physique like mine!

"H-hey! Do I really look like a mare to you? I'll have you know, many mothponies dream of having a physique like mine!"
>You strike a pose, the stallion-i-est, show offy pose that is sure to convince them of your masculinity! A pair of crossed arms and a scrunched snoot. That one NEVER fails to impress!
>"Uh huh..." And judging by the raised brows and awkward stares, you'd say you got it. Krisa is even doing her little high pitched 'squee of adoration' as she calls it. Boom, bitch. (no offence to Diamond Dogs)

"Anyway, just out of curiosity, do you remember who this Zebra is and why he's here?"
>"Wha...huh?" If the Captain's face keeps being contorted like that, you think it just might set that way. "No, I don't recognise that stallion." Breeze sighs out of the corner of your hearing. "But he was in that cell for a reason, and I intend to make sure he gets back in there."

>"Now, play nice, turn around, and get back to your cells." Horseshoes clip against the floor as she widens her stance, ready to charge. In a green aura you see the Unicorn to the right levitate out a baton. "This is your last chance."
>Uh oh. While your tools, Krisa's alchemy, and Breeze's...something, may be enough to take out one or two guards, three trained Guardsponies might be stretching your abilities.
>Though maybe...you don't have to actually fight? Perhaps you could keep them distracted, enough for your companions to do something, hopefully.

>"Uhh, pretty well, actually. I don't to worry about the rent, the benefits are good, I even get a monthly supply of horn polish!." The unicorn replies jovially, bending forward to show off his shined horn, gleaming in the light.
>"I get to feed my younger brother, and send her to school." The Pegasus guard notes. "It beats delivering mail."
>"You gotta admit, that IS a well polished horn." Krisa remarks. Breeze nods along.

"Gah! Focus, you two! Okay, well...it sounds to me like you're just racist!"
>You see everypony raise an eyebrow at that. Well, you would, if you weren't too busy looking smug.
"Yea, you heard me! How else do you explain the Zebra's condition?"
>"Actually, I'm a half Zebra, I'm part Pegasus on my mot-"
"Hush breeze, I'm trying to stage a mutiny here."

>For all your antics though, Lockdown does not look amused.
>"Enough!" She growls."Sergeant, arrest them!"
>"Yes Ma'am!" The Unicorn now levitates out a pair of hoofcuffs and advances towards Krisa. The moth mare flutters back, her hoof resting against her ingredient pouch.

Ah, two players. Just like old times. I think I like the new times better.

I get THREE players with the new times. That's a 50% increase!

"Look! She doesn't even deny these accusations! I demand a fair treatment to all prisoners, no matter their specie-wagh!"
>"Enough talking, start running!" Krisa throws something from her satchel as Breeze yanks you by the fluff.
>A shower of sparks manages to disrupt the guards for a split second as you attempt your escape down one of the other corridors.

"I don't suppose we can still talk this ouuttt?"
>"Not unless you have a silver tongue, my friend." Breeze remarks. "The break room is through here."
>"I think the only kind of tongue the Captain is interested in isn't the kind we can give." Krista quips, her wings buzzing.
>"You can't run forever!" The gruff mare shouts from behind.

"Do you know any other exits?"
>"Er...there should be other exits in this place, but, I never actually saw them. There's supposed to be a side and rear exit, and sewer access too!" Breeze huffs.

>You hear an insulted grunt from behind you. That should throw them off balance! You hope. You aren't exactly looking.
>"I think you should stop baiting the guards now." Breeze raises your jaw closed with a wing. "Okay, sewers it is then. It might be either from the outside, or in the latrines."

>"Over there! The sign!" Krista points out a piece of wood hanging from the ceiling with a mare's and stallion's heads painted on.
"I think we should lose them first though..."
>You glance behind to see the guard trio having no trouble keeping pace. You'd almost say they're gaining on you.
>"We could just bar the door."
>"And what will stop them chasing after us when we get out?"
>>
>>28355675
Nothing. We'll just have to hope that us being smaller and not wearing armor will help us crawl through the sewers. They can't track us down there, we can come out anywhere.
>>
>>28355675
We'll have to take the evidence of corruption to someone else with more power? Or maybe we should move far away from this city...
>>
>>28355738
>>28355814
What's the point of sewer access if a regular sized pony can't fit into it? I think we need a more literal solution.

Hide around a corner and whack them in the back of their heads?
>>
>>28355846
It might work... our hammer could probably knock them out?
>>
>>28355675
>>28355738

>>
"Bring that letter to a pony with more power? Or we could just get far away from this place..."
>"I was talking about stopping them from chasing us through the sewers." Breeze leads you to a right junction, with the restroom doors straight ahead.
"Oh, uh, I can hit them with my hammer?"
>"That'll do, Sami." Krisa says. "That'll do."

>Somehow holding normal conversation while running for your lives without running out of breath aside, the guards are really starting to gain on you. You can only hope that if the knockout hammer doesn't take, your smoller moth frame will let you get into places they cannot.
>"One last question, which door?"

>You rush through the door with the mare's head for a sign and hold it open for Krisa and Breeze to come in after you. Slamming the door shut behind them, Breeze helps you hold the door while Krisa gets to searching for the sewer entrance.

>Bracing yourselves for the full force of three fully armoured prison guards you clench your jaw and shut your eyes, putting all your might into holding that door shut. But you don't feel a thing. Curious.
>"What are you two doing? They're right inside, we have them cornered!" Lockdown's yells can be heard quite clearly through the door.
>"But Captain, that's the mare's room!" One of the stallions replies. The unicorn, probably. "We can't go in there! It would be rude. Besides,-"

>"I found it! Through here!" Krisa seems to have found the way out. A simple round sewer cover made of metal. It takes some effort (and grunting that would be much worse out of context) but she manages to pry the thing off.
>The smell, though...
>The sound of a flushing toilet distracts you as you see one of the stall doors open across you. A Guardsmare, still in uniform recoils into the stall, covering herself with her hooves and lets out a shriek. You can even spot a ribbon of toilet paper stuck under her armor.

>"...orget this! I'm going in, with or without you." The mare's voice comes through the door once again.
>>
>>28365778
Wedge something under the door so it'll be harder to open.
>>
>>28365778
Grab some toilet paper as we go, should be able to use it to block some of the smell.

Terribly sorry miss, blame your captain, gotta go, bye!
>>
"Ah, crap."
>There's about 15 seconds by your estimate before a big mare bursts through that door, with you on the other side.

>Ah...what to do, what to do...wedge something under the door? But what?
>A quick look around and you find a mop and bucket in the corner, just out of reach.
>You quickly jam the mop under the door, and as an extra precaution, tip its contents onto the floor.
>Too bad you don't have a wet floor sign. Now for one more thing...

"Hitheremissterriblysorry, butIneedyourtoiletpaper. Blame your captain. Bye!"
>Leaving behind a very confused mare you take the entire roll off the holder and rush to join Krisa and Breeze heading into the sewers.

>Just as you start to head downwards with them, you hear a loud crash as Captain Lockdown body checks the door, slamming it open....
>...right into the mop. The door catches and trips her up, causing her to stumble into the soapy puddle. She slips and slides, but momentum carries her right towards you.
>Its like watching a terrible, terrible ballet , really. In slow motion.

>Aaand its time to get out of here.
>Ducking down the hole time slows to a crawl as you look up, and see the hooves of the mare catch on the cover, making her legs leave the ground and sending her airborne.
>Soaring overhead, gracefully like a runaway cheese wheel, you turn your head to track her.
>As her hindquarters come into view you spy her...
"Oh god, it burns!"
>The sight makes you cover your eyes, but unfortunately makes you take your hooves off the ladder, and you fall onto Krisa and Breeze below.
"Argh I DID NOT need to see that!"

>The mare groans can be heard above you, and the smell is bearable, but still unpleasant.
>At least it looks like this pipe has been drained recently.

Sorry for the bad prompt, but I"m in a hurry.
>>
>>28371505
Breathe through your mouth and get moving.
>>
>>28371505
share that toilet paper with our friends and move on
>>
>"Agh...having you fall on us was not pleasant." Breeze says. "You aren't exactly a light pony."
>"Yeah Sami, a little warning next time? I'd rather not get a face full of sewer if I can help it." Krisa adds. "I hope my things didn't get wet."

"Oh quit complaining, we've gotta get outta here before she finds us. Here, use this to block out the smell."
>You pass out generous strips of toilet paper from your roll and start galloping down the drain.

>Normally you'd mention things like the smell, and darkness and dampness this place has, but you don't really have the time for that. Krisa and Breeze keep up with you easily, it looks like they don't want to spend time smelling the roses either.
>The three of you come across a junction in the drains, and from here, the exit is clear as day. Literally, you can see sunlight coming in from the end of the tunnel to your right. Its enough to see everything around you, but its enough to navigate.

>The sound of hooves and a splash from way behind catches your attention.
>"Damnit, its her again!" Krista whispers.
>"We're so close, we can't stop now." Breeze replies. "But how can we lose her in this place? We'll leave an obvious trail."
>"Maybe we could lay a trap? We don't have to really fight her, just make sure she doesn't follow us."
>Well you still have your comb, tool belt, and half a toilet roll with you....
>>
>>28371957
Not much we can do with what we have... Could toilet paper trip a running pony?
>>
>>28371957
Lets make her think we ran for the closest exit and run the other way.
>>
>>28371957
>>28372222
>>28372276
We tried tripping her already though, it didn't work well.

And the only other exit sounds like its back through her.

maybe we could...hit her with our hammer? Hide around the corner of the exit, and hit her in the head?
>>
>>28372319
>The three of you come across a junction
>>
>>28372325
>and from here, the exit is clear as day
Sewers generally all lead out to the same place though. Won't the other way just lead to somewhere else in the station?
>>
>>28372339
So your saying that the station's sewer is completely separated from whatever city we're near or in? We might as well be on an island than because they'd know exactly where we'd end up without having to follow us.
>>
>>28372355
Can't really say either way, we don't even know what's outside this place. But it makes sense the closest exit going the other way would either be another part of the station, the street right in front of it, or maybe even straight into a river or something.
>>
>>28372377
>be another part of the station
A place they'd never consider searching.
>the street right in front of it
Which would lead to the rest of the sewer and other exits.
>maybe even straight into a river or something
Which would be an exit.
>>
So do you guys want to go left, or right?
>>
>>28372454
Left and "drop" our comb down the right tunnel.
>>
>>28372468
Also, can we all fly? It'd be helpful to leave less of a trail.
>>
>>28372454
From what they said, I guess left.
>>
>>28372454
What they said, left with flight/mislead attempt.
>>
"We'll lure her away."
>Once again you put your hoof to your lips and tell your companions to keep quiet.
>Slipping the comb from your cell out of your belt, you toss it down the right side, towards the light, and begin to fly left, as slowly as your moth wings can carry you.

>Krista and Breeze are quick to follow your lead, and you don't even bother to check if your lure took.

>Minutes of silent (as much as moth and pegasus wings can allow) flight, in the dark with nothing other than the sound of dripping water, Krisa speaks.

>"Do you think we lost her?"
>"I don't know, my wings are starting to hurt right now..." Breeze's accented voice chimes in from beside you.
"Yeah, mine too. I don't suppose you know the way out of here Breeze?"
>"No, I don't. Besides, its too dark for me to see anything."
>Oh, right. Unlike moth ponies (and...bats) Pegasi don't have very good nightvision.

Last one for today.

"Okay Breeze," You whisper "we'll lead the way. But remember to stay quiet."
>Krisa and you move to either side of the zebra-pegasus and grab onto his hooves. Breeze, in turn, wraps his hooves around yours.
>Er, completely platonically, of course. Its not like you're attracted to Breeze or anything!Right?

>Sliently leading Breeze (and his hoovesies) through the tunnels you begin to hear the sound of hooves once more, among other things, but from above! The three of you come across another junction. This time, with streaks of light shining down from above. It makes you blink, you'd gotten used to the darkness.
>"Its...so bright!" Breeze rubs his eyes. "It sounds like we're under a street, but I don't think we can get out through here.
>Shadows flicker over you as ponies and carts pass over the grating above you. Its not very big, but it lets enough light in to tell you immediate surroundings. In the big(-ish) cistern you are in you can see three, well two, exits. The first one is a larger tunnel, complete with what you think is a walkway on the side. The other is a smaller pipe, round and smooth, streaming in some water. Other drain pipes lead into here, some carrying water, others have dried, clogged up with dirt. There's also the same tunnel that brought you here, of course.
>"We're so close!" Krisa says through her faceful of toilet paper. "we just need to pick one an-ahh!"
>Krista jumps and you hear something small scurry away. You turn just in time to see a rat's tail disappear next to another, hidden tunnel. You wouldn't have noticed it were it not for your moffvisionâ„¢
>>
>>28381571
>moffvisionâ„¢
kek.

We don't want to pop up in front of many ponies, going through the smaller pipe might be safer. Before that though, peer into the hidden tunnel?
>>
>>28381571
Ha, gross.
Smaller pipe seems like a good idea to check out.
>>
>"I didn't know you would be scared of rodents." Breeze remarks.
>"N-no I'm not! I was just startled, that's all!" Krista huffs.

> Scrunching hard and peering into the darkness with your moffvisionâ„¢ you manage to make out...nothing but darkness.
"Aww,"
>You'd heard many things that could be possible when a moth scrunches and focuses hard enough. Like being able to hear a swooping moffmare from a mile away! See in complete darkness! Identifying with percentage point accuracy the gayness of any stallion you come across!
>Unfortunately, it looks like you'll have to cross the 'see in complete darkness' one off the list.

"How about we take...that way."
>You point your hoof towards the smaller pipe, with the water draining out of it.
"I don't want us to pop out in front of too many ponies if we can help it."

>"One way is as good as any other I guess." Krisa shrugs. "It looks like those two go in the same direction anyways."
>The pipe is as small as it looks, forcing you to move in a single line. Krisa leads Breeze from the front, while you cover the rear.

>It feels like hours (though it really wasn't) before you come across another junction. The pipe begins to narrow, a small grate being the source of the water lies on the floor ahead of you. The only accessible path for you is a sharp turn to the right, and as luck would have it, you can see sunlight from around the corner.
>Though you aren't alone this time. The sounds of hooves climbing up a ladder makes you pause. Being the lead, Krisa peers around the corner.

>"Well, it looks like this just joins up with the larger drain anyways."
>Taking a peek yourself, you see the tunnel curve off slightly to the right, presumably back to that cistern. Most importantly though, is the shaft of light shining down on a metal ladder a ways ahead, on the other side of the tunnel. You see the end of a pony with a toolbox just exit.
>"Strange, why are they leaving the the cover open?" Breeze's head pokes in from above yours.

"Sounds like they went away...maybe they're doing maintenance?"
>"Or, it could be a trap. If there's a guard up there, we have to be ready to run. Again." Krisa whispers.

>Strange indeed. Still, the sound of hoofsteps doesn't disappear completely. In fact, you'd say they were even getting clos-
>"Ahem."

>"EEE!"
>The sudden sound of a stallion's voice almost makes you jump in surprise. Literally, in Breeze's case. Before any of you can reply, the burly earth pony stallion, dressed in overalls and hard hat cuts you off.
>"What do you think you're doing here? This is no place for random ponies like you to be wandering around. What, did you fall down a drain or something?"

"We...just wanted to see what the sewers looked like! And they're nowhere near as bad as the novels make them out to be."
>Krisa and Breeze begin nodding enthusiastically along, though the pony doesn't look too convinced just yet.

"After all, they're so important to how this place works! We'd live in anarchy, anarchy! Without them, and certainly without maintenance ponies like you!"
>You finish off the flattery with the biggest, best little moff eyes you have ever attempted! Which for your first attempt, went rather well. Well enough.
>Once again Krisa and Breeze follow your lead, Krista complimenting the stallions...musculature while Breeze comments on the craftsponyship of his tool belt.
>A-all to hold up the lie, of course! Its not like that huge stallion has a better set of tools than yours...did he?

>"Uh huh." The stallion nods. "Well if I didn't know any better, I'd almost say you were escapees from the jail down the system."
"What? No we're not! W-why would you think that?"
>Despite your slight slip up the pony just rolls his eyes, sighing.
>"Look, I'm late for lunch and I'm in no mood to entertain whatever excuses you had for spelunking around here. Just...just get out before another pony sees you."

>Your companions give the stallion nervous smiles as they climb up the ladder. He himself just tippy taps his hooves on the stone impatiently before following you out.
>The ladder takes you out to a secluded dead-end alley between a pair of brick buildings. Their height shades the three of you coming out but judging by the sunlight a few steps forward its around midday.

>The light on your face and wings is a feeling you had never known you missed until this moment, shining down on you like a bright, big shining thing.
>"Ah! Its so bright!" Cries Breeze. Krisa only nods in agreement, truly its an amazing sight to behold. "I can't see!" Or...maybe not.

>"Hrgh...uhf!" Metal grinds against stone as the big pony shows off his yuuge arms dragging the cover over the sewer entrance. "You know, you really should get your friend to a doctor or something."
"...nah. He'll be fine."
>You look towards Breeze being tended to Krista. Now she might not actually have gotten any formal medical training but she has just the thing to handle Breeze's problem. Eyedrops.
>"Ahhh! My eyes are worse!"
"...he'll be fine."

>"I wouldn't count on that!"
>Oh no...not that voice again!
>Turning around from the dead end of the alley presents Captain Lockdown, once again. The big mare looks much like how you remember her, though with a bandage across her forehead, probably from her slip up. There's a few flies circling her too.
>"You're going to pay for that! And this time I'm not going to give you the luxury of waiting."
>She draws a baton from her belt, twirling it around her hoof a few times.

"Ugh, again?! You've gotta be kidding me, how did you get here?"
>"Did you memorize the entire sewer system just for situations like this?" Krista calls from behind you.

>Since you all have wings, you would just fly out of here, but with Breeze temporarily out of action, you don't think there's enough time to make your escape before she cuffs at least one of you.
>"You thought you were so clever planting your standard issue moff comb in the sewers, weren't you little moth? I'll admit you had me fooled for a moment, but there was no way you could have made it out of sight in the fields outside town into the forest so soon! There was nowhere else you could go in such a short time."

>Or, you'll just have to fight. Sure, she might be a big smelly mare who just ran through a sewer to get you but at least she doesn't have backup this time.
>"And you took my magazines!"
>Aaand you took her magazines. Oh bugger.

>The Captain lowers her head with a yell and charges towards you, shoulder first.
>>

Honestly, I want this fight to be as silly as possible.

>Its too bad that other stallion closed the lid on the sewer, you could've made a repeat of the toilet scene. Where is that sanitation pony anyways?

>Wrapping your legs around her barrel as far as you can reach, you hold on with all your might using your forehooves. Maybe you can distract her enough for Breeze to recover.
"You've probably got more bits on yourself right now than the rest of us put together! Is one magazine of hot, muscly stallions that important?"
>"Aha! So you DO have it!" Lockdown rears up on her hindlegs, nearly throwing you off. Gah, moth stallions were not made to do the swooping!

>"Keep her busy Sami!" Krisa is helping Breeze up to his feet now. He looks dazed, blinking like he just walked into a camera flash.
>>
>>28411487
>Not made to do the swooping
Wrap your hooves around her and flap, you damn trapmoth.
>>
>>28411487
Come on! how can anyone in their right mind resist those muscly, sexy stallions?
Out of curiosity, and nothing more! where did you brought them from?
>>
"I'm -aah- trying! Moth stallions aren't made to do the swooping!"
>Lockdown bucks like in those rodeos you hear sometimes, jumping, juking and weaving in circles to try and throw you off. And you'd hate to say it, but its working.

>"Well start trying, Sami! Breeze still isn't okay yet!" Krista is leading him over to a stack of cement bags. Still, the zebra-pony still hasn't got his full faculties back, and slips. Krisa turns to help him up again.
>"And get that traffic cone off your head, Breeze! Where did you even get that?"
>Wrapping your hooves ever tighter, you flap, flap, flap as hard as you can. And by some miracle it works! Barely. The mare is put off balance enough to have her momentum toss the both of you into a pile of more traffic cones, not unlike the one Breeze has on his head.
>At least you managed to keep your grip, even if you did lose your wind.

>Your fluff is going to take just forever to clean out, you just know it.
"So...out of pure curiosity...where did you get them?" you huff.
>The Guard responds by trying to buck you off once more.
>"First store...with the heart sign...on the corner of...town square!" And, sadly, you can't keep up this time. She throws you off, back into the pile.

>The impact dazes you for a split second, and you look up into the face of the Earth mare looming over you.
>"Their selection is quite large too," She exhales and grins, reaching behind her. "I'll be sure to send the moth edition to your cell."
>>

>>28411838

"How big are their floofs? H-how do they compare to mine?"
>>
>As she pulls out the pair of hoofcuffs, the solution makes itself clear.
>Tactical. Cuddling. Action.

>With the last bit of might in your tiny lungs you lunge forward and grab onto the big mare's undercarriage, burying your fluff into her breastplate, and activate your moffvisionâ„¢
>With your eyes widened to as wide as they can go, you look up, pleading, and ask the question.
"There's a moth edition? How would you rate them? D-do their floofs compare to mine?"

>"Well, er...o-on a scale of 10?" Her face starts to turn red, scrunching up in utter confusion. "F-five. Clearly." Her other hoof reaches to your back and you feel cold steel slip around your smol leg. A quick glance behind you shows she's reaching with the other end towards a piece of scaffolding.
>"So if you don't mind just holding on a little longer..."
>>
>>28412261
Uh, fuck. We're kind of in a lot of trouble here. All we could really do is drop off and try to pull away. If she attaches that to anything including her, we're buggered

Basically, call out for help.
>>
>>28412261
We could do something that'll surprise her and cause her to drop the cuffs. Can somebody please come up with an idea besides kissing her.
>>
>>28412359
Nope, kissing is good.
>>
>>28412261
Suddenly cry out in sadness.
N-no! It's clearly a lie! The moths in the magazine has better floofs than mine!
>>
>Aww, pigeon crap. You can't outlast a trained guard, a moth like you would get winded before she would. And you've already done a lot.
>That leaves only a few options left....none of them pretty.
>You try to stall her once more.
"No! That's a lie! Those moths can't have better floofs than mine!"
>It doesn't work. Onto the next tactic.

"Krisa! Breeze! HEELLPP!"
>Your cry alerts your companions, who rush (or stumble, in Breeze's case) towards you. But that only makes her stretch out faster! A few tries and already you can hear the tips clacking against the steel scaffold.

>There's only one thing you can do now...
>You plant your snoot right atop of the mare's, and give her a real wet one.
>There's no tongue action (thankfully) but you do manage to lick her nose. The smell doesn't seem to bother you actually, maybe you've gotten used to it?

>Its a desperate tactic, but it works. In her surprise she drops you, turning to face your companions.
>Scrambling to your hooves, you try to move, but find yourself yanked to a stop. Oh no...she's got you cuffed to the pole!
>>
>>28412533
Is our hoof small enough to slip out? Throw traffic cones at her?
>>
>>28412533
Too bad there's no way to get the guard handcuffed to you or the pole as well. She'd have to let you out then, right?
Is there nothing else we can do to distract her? Maybe go into hysterics and claim she's cheating on us.
"i thought what we had was special! You're just gonna leave me here? After all we've been through together?"

Hopefully that doesn't mean we royally fucked up and badended.

>Oh damn it, DAMN IT! What are you gonna do now? Try and grab her? Throw traffic cones? Get into hysterics? All of the above?

>Ehh, its worth a try.

>You reach out and just barely - barely - get a hold of her hoof.Oh if mama could see you now...
"I thought what we had was special! And you're just gonna leave me here? After all we've been through!?"

>...
>Yeah, she's not paying attention to you. At least Krisa is doing a good job of keeping her busy, buzzing circles around her head. Breeze is...still stumbling a little, but he'll recover any second now.

>Breifly you consider using your tools to try and break the lock, but that would take too long. You're a blacksmith, not a locksmith. There isn't a tool on you that could fit into that keyhole.
>Picking up one of the traffic cones you toss it hard as you can in Lockown's general direction.
>It falls short though. And the cuff digs into your hoof too. Might even have pulled something, you felt it move.
"...huh?"

>You give your right hoof another firm tug. The metal clinks like you expect, but it moves a little further than before. That can't mean...
>Looking up and taking a good look at the thing she cuffed you to, you can hardly believe your eyes.
>The pole wasn't attached! By some uncanny streak of luck, Lockdown managed to cuff you to the one pole that doesn't have a cap on it.

>Well no point in wasting time, you buzz your wings up into the air, gaining about a full story of height before the pole ends and the cuff slips free.
>Down below it looks like Breeze has finally recovered, facing off the Guard Captain while Krisa hangs back, looking worse for wear, but not too exhausted to move at least.

>Well there's nothing you can do up here. Swooping down onto the mare (Comet would faint at the sight) in a pounce you let out your awesome one-liner.
"You cheater!"
>Surprisingly the spot you land on is surprisingly soft. Well, anything's soft compared to a trained Earth Pony's rock hard muscles. The mare lets out a surprised squeak.

"Fly, you fools!"
>Her surprise doesn't last long though, as she rolls to the side, nearly crushing you under the weight.
>But in that moment, Krisa and Breeze manage to take to the air, hovering above.

>"Sami! Get her off you and lets go!" Krisa calls down.
>Sound advice, all around, but its kinda hard to do that when you're pinned by a big earth pony prison warden.
>"Surrender now, or the moth mare gets it!" She shouts back, placing a forehoof on your chest to keep you down.

"OI! Look down, please."
>A confused 'huh?' sounds from the pony above you as he looks down.
>Almost immediately, a slight blush...at least you think its a blush, forms on her face. Lockdown looks away for a moment
>"A-a stallion, then! Look, moth pony, either way you're-uh!"

>From behind her an audible 'thunk' sounds and you feel the large hoof lift off you. You missed what happened, because you blinked, but a yellow hoof reaches down toward you.
>"Need a hoof?" A feminine voice calls out.

>Who could this be? What pony could have come down so swiftly in your time of need? Its like you had a guardian angel, a-oh wait no, that's just Comet. Ah, damn. you were hoping for someone else.
>"Just like in the stories, huh? Um,t-that's how these things go, right?"
>He blinks eyes at you, smiling.
>"You don't know how long it took me to track you two down, Sami."

>Distinctly embarrassed moth noises come forth from your throat at this. How did Comet manage to do what you couldn't?
"Comet...? How did you knock her out?"

>"Huh? All I did was hit her really hard in the back of her head..." He looks away shyly "Isn't that what always works? Didn't you try that?"
>You scrunch hard at that.
"...no."
>You'd thought about it before, but its starting to sound like if you just hit her in the head when you actually had a chance to this matter would have been solved earlier.
>"O-oh! Glad I could help!" He says, cheeks flushed lightly.

>The two of you don't waste any more time and take off with Krista and Breeze before the Captain can wake up. When she does, the two of you would be safe blocks away.
>"Ooh~ who's this little pony?" Comet coos and sidles up to Breeze "What's your name, handsome...?"
>"Oh, er..."

>As Breeze provides a temporary distraction for Comet's affections, the four of you land on a nearby empty rooftop to take a breather.
"Okay, first, we need to sort out all our evidence, then find a higher-up to give them to."
>"Good plan Sami" Krisa says, dumping out her bag. The letters, any documents she could swipe, all fall out into the center. "Ah! Er, don't mind this." She quickly swipes a certain magazine back in as Comet looks to her with confusion. Breeze shakes his head.
>"If you want somepony to give this to, why not the Mayor, or the guards from a different part of town?" Comet speaks up. "It looked like it was just her involved. Otherwise she would have had company."
>"Do we really have to do this? We already made our escape from the jail, and Captain Lockdown will spread the word about escaped captives if she hasn't already." The zebra-pony sighs. "We should just leave while we still can."

>"The wagon we travelled in for months before coming to this place, where we would camp by the roadside and set up shop to passing travellers - that wagon?" The pink moth beside you asks.
>Comet nods, and Krista bursts out into a smile and hugs him tightly, pressing her hoof into his head fluff. "Aww, my widdle browther is prepared for a criminal getaway! I'm so proud."

"Ahem."
>Your cough brings the siblings back to the rooftop.
>"Well then...it seems that the safest way to turn all this in would be to go directly to the mayor's office. We do not know if the other guards are in with the Captain, and if we're lucky, we might be able to get to him before she does." Breeze moves the incriminating letter to the top of the pile.
>"I overheard her complaining about the mayor sometimes. I don't think they get along with each other."

>"Say, Breeze, why are you still here anyway?" Krisa tilts her head. Breeze only looks confused. "From what we found, it seems like you have no criminal association with us - why stay?"
>"Its just that. Nopony remembers me, my family stayed in the next town over, the plants I came to collect are gone, and I don't know if they're still there." The half-zebra scratches the back of his neck. "I don't want to get arrested for something else once I leave, so sticking with you all seems like the best choice."

"Its alright Breeze, you can stay with us till this is over."
>He remains silent, but the slight smile on the corners of his mouth tell you all you need to know.
>"Well I guess we're going to the Town Hall then?" Krisa proposes. The rest of you nod in turn, and begin to take off. Its not hard to get to, especially from the air, the only problem will be arriving before Lockdown can send word out of your escape.

"Comet? A little word, please."
>As Krista and Breeze lift off into the air, you pull the other moth stallion aside. He looks up to you with expectant eyes and a hopeful smile.
"I just wanted to thank you for saving my fluff back there...I would have been done for if you didn't show up..."
>"Ehehe...anytime, Sami~" Comet's eyes practically glow under your compliments. "Does this mea-"
"And don't tell Krisa!"
>The smaller moth places his hooves over his mouth and nods in as serious a face as he can muster. The facade breaks for a moment, and he wraps his hooves around you in a hug that lasts a second longer than most would, nuzzling into your chestfluff. He breaks the hug and flies off before Krisa can notice.

>Now you're no standoffish pony when it comes to physical affection, but usually you found Comet's personal brand more...affectionate than others.
>After all, like you said in the cell, just because the guy had a crush on you didn't mean you'd start waving scent glands at him...

>The Town Hall doesn't take long to find at all, mere minutes of moderate flight from the rooftop you left.
>Landing on the roof of a building across the street, the four of you take a peek over the ledge.

1/2
>>
>Its a reasonably large building, double storied with a small fountain in the front. And as usual for a governmental office, a guard clad in armor stands watching at the gate.
>"Hold on, there's a guard there." Krisa points below. "What if they're looking out for us? We might have to sneak in."
>"I don't think that'll be necessary this time," Comet replies. "Its only one guard at the gate, so it don't look like they're on high alert for escaped prisoners."
>"You think we can just walk in then?" Breeze proposes, gesturing to the ponies walking around on the street below.

"Acting suspicious, like when sneaking around, is just going to draw attention to us if we get noticed. And the Town Hall is supposed to be public access anyways, so sneaking in would look even worse for us."
>"That makes sense, you could get into plenty of places just by looking like you belong there..." Krista nods her head in agreement.
"But yeah, if he tries to catch us, we run."

>Not a minute later and the four of you are standing in the street below, walking straight towards the front gate.
>The guard doesn't seem to recognise you though, save for a light snort when you pass by...probably just something in his nose, you hope.
>The front area seems quite open, with a small fountain before the main entrance to the painted building. Flower pots line either side of the main doors.

>The lobby is hardly an extravagant affair, but it still manages to look neat despite its size.
>A few chairs and couches around the room and hallways lead out from both sides of the room. The receptionist's desk sits right across the main doors, with a few filing cabinets against the wall.. The unicorn mare currently has her nose buried in...well you can't exactly tell, the desk is blocking it.

"Could we see the mayor? We have an urgent matter to attend to, the sooner the better."
>She raises an eyebrow in confusion, pulling out another book and flipping through the pages quickly. Her nose twitches.
"Hmm, there aren't any ponies listed for a visit today..." she mumbles "Would you like to make an appointment? The Mayor is currently in his office right now, and, urf, isn't supposed to be taking any visitors, but should be happy to meet his townsponies...!"
>Her muzzle is starting to scrunch at the edges, but the unicorn retains her composure, waving a hoof in front of her nose.

>"My apologies, there just seems to be a faint stench in the air! I think the toilets might be due for another inspection..."

"Could we meet him now? Its a bit of an emergency, and waiting would be too late."
>"W-well if it really is I suppose the Mayor wouldn't mind if you went to his office personally...he does have an open door policy to these kinds of things. But I must insist, do knock before entering."

>"Thanks for that, miss." Breeze glances around the room. "Could you also tell us where the washroom is?"
>"Oh! There's one right next to the top of the stairs down the hallway." She gestures right. "And its right by the mayor's office."

>"I think its best if we all go before meeting the mayor," Breeze whispers to you all. Krisa shrugs, and Comet nods his head furiously.
>"I didn't want to bring it up because we were so busy, but since there's the option..."
>You sigh and begin going to the second floor.

>It takes a while, but spending a minute washing your hooves is the best you can do bar a full bath.
>Krisa takes the liberty of knocking on the door and letting yourselves in.

>The mayor's office is plain and simple, just like the rest of the Town Hall you've seen, with a bookshelf on one wall, cupboards and drawers line the other.
>The Mayor himself sits at a large desk, a window just behind him. He's holding a mug of tea. It looks like you've caught him mid-sip, and his eyes widen as he hurriedly sets it back down on his desk, swiping a colourful ball off the top and hiding it underneath.
>"H-hello there! Is there something I could help you with my fair ponies?" He stutters a little. "I assume its quite urgent, Memo would have called up to announce you otherwise!"

>"Well they still didn't deserve to keep us locked up!" Krista huffs. "Just look at our half Zebra friend here! They practically forgot about him!" She starts poking at his thinner than average barrel.
>"Mr Mayor, please." Breeze leans away from the moth mare's hoof boop barrage. "You're the only one we can trust. You said it yourself, you figured that the Captain was bad all along, and now you can prove that."

>A few moments pass as he considers the situation. He takes a quick glance around him.
>"...alright, how about this: I can't exactly let you go off scot free right now, for legal reasons, but I can put you somewhere safe. The four of you will be put on house arrest, under the supervision of Guards that I trust."

>He stands up from his chair and looks out he window. "You won't get to go anywhere you want, actually, you'll spend a lot of time inside. But at least you'll have a place to stay, food, and-" He sniffs the air, giving you a look. "a bath. All you have to do cooperate with the investigation, and if its needed, speak against Lockdown."

"As long as we're kept safe and treated fairly."
>You nod and stretch your hoof out for him to shake.
>With the deal sealed the mayor withdraws his hoof, grimacing for a split second at the underside and (not so) discreetly wiping it off under his desk. His smile returns just as quickly as it disappeared.
>"Splendid! I'll send a message to the Guard to get everything ready. In the meantime, feel free to wait around the building. But please, don't leave the gate."

"There is one more thing though."
>Your gesture to the brown and green moth.
"Comet here didn't exactly get involved with anything that happened...so he shouldn't be placed under house arrest with us..."

>"Well its not like he won't be allowed to visit, will he?" Krisa says.
>"It may be safer for him to stay with us," Breeze begins. "just being with us might have made him a target." Comet's eyes widen, and his lip starts quivering slightly.

>"Considering the circumstances, I think it would be best if he stayed with you. But I cannot, in good conscience, force a pony into arrest for something he isn't directly related to. I'll leave the choice to him when the time comes."
>And that, the deal is done.
>"Is there anything else you would like to add?" The Mayor inquires.

>"Could the place we're staying in have a bathtub?" Krisa chimes in.
>"I would be happy as long as there's enough food around..." Breeze rubs his belly forlornly. "Its been too long since I had a proper meal."
>Comet however, stays silent.

"We're not getting criminal records from this, are we?"
>The stallion before you shrugs. "I can't really say anything about that, it'll be up to whoever's handling the case. But if you want my opinion, its unlikely."
>Well that's the best you're going to get, you suppose.
"Uh huh...well thanks for that Mr Mayor, we'll just go and...wait."

>As you leave the office, the receptionist is waiting outside, who proceeds to start telling the mayor about...stuff you couldn't really hear. Probably about that Guardspony that wanted to leave a message or something.
>But she did also direct you all to the break room on the second floor, so that is where you went first.

>The party is silent. Breeze looks relieved, like a weight has been taken off his shoulders. Or maybe that's just the comfy seats?

H-hey! Tool belts are cool... You two are the worst, keep this up, and I might start spilling all your deep, dark secrets to Breeze here.
>>
"H-hey! you wouldn't like it if I spilled all of your deep, dark secrets to Breeze, did you?"
>Comet is polite enough to resign his laughing to quiet sniggers behind his hoof, but Krisa decides to call your bluff.
>"Hah! Well go right ahead! We just got out of jail which would have kept us locked up for who knows how long, a little embarrassment isn't going to top that!"
>Well then, challenge accepted!

>You wrack your memories for a suitable secret to spill. You could always tell about that time she made her alchemy still explode and gave her the 'blowout' manestyle for nearly a week, but perhaps its better to think of something...jucier.

>Meanwhile, Breeze sits by looking confused at being the center of this 'argument'.
>"Is there nothing better for you two to talk about?"
>>
>>28480197
Oh yeah? Then I'm sure you wouldn't mind me telling everyone, in great detail, about that night where I found you doing lewd things like touching hooves with a clone of yourself because of 'alchemical experimental' reasons.

"Oh? Well then I'm sure you won't mind me telling everyone, in great detail I might add, about the time I found you doing lewd things with a clone of yourself for 'alchemy experiment' reasons."
>"Hold up now, WHAT things?" Comet definitely seems interested. And Breeze's ears are perked forward. They're listening to this.
"Why, holding hooves, of course!"
>"How scandalous!"
>"And with a clone, you say?"

>Krisa lets out an indignant gasp.
>"Okay, first of all, it wasn't a clone, it was an effigy! A model. I needed it to test the physical effects of the fuels that you now use for your smithing!"
>"Second thing, alchemy can't make clones! That's the stuff of myths and stories to keep foals in bed at night. Its like saying Zebra shamans can make curses and hexes! Isn't that right, Breeze?"

>"Actually, you'll have to ask my father for that." The half zebra spreads his wings in a shrug. "I'm not into the whole, 'speak in rhyme all the time' thing."
>"So what about the holding hooves part then?" Comet elbows his sister.
>"Tsk! Figures." Krisa folds her arms and looks away. You think you can even see her blush. "I was just making sure it looked good! Moth fluff is had to replicate, you know!"
>>
>>28481744
Yeah, sure... stroking its hoof slowly, repeatedly while muttering weird things is a great way of checking if it looked good.
>>
>>28481744
"oh yeah, you thought it looked good alright..."

"Oh yeah, sure, stroking its hoof slowly while muttering things over and over is a great way to check if it looks good..."
>Krisa rolls her eyes but doesn't answer.

>"Anyway...Comet! How did you find us? I didn't know you stashed the wagon away and planned to break us out." Your friend sure is quick to change the subject.
>"O-oh! Well, it wasn't what I had in mind, but I actually was just trying to scout a way into the jail. I knew the sewer tunnels led to it, and when I arrived at the entrance, I saw that mare. She was muttering something about 'escaped moths' so I figured that meant you two." Comet leans back into the sofa. "I followed her along, and that's how I got to you. I-it wasn't like the kind of jailbreaks you read about in the stories..."

>"You don't have to sell yourself short," Breeze sets his glass down on the table. "it was lucky you arrived when you did. Lockdown would have captured Sami here if you didn't."
>"Y-yeah, I suppose that's true..." Comet glances (not so subtly) in your direction.
>>
>>28486836
Yeah, thanks a lot for that, by the way. Guess I'm just not a natural born fighter huh?
>>
>>28486836
You're stronger than you look.
She kept thinking i'm a mare for some reason.
>>
>>28486836
"Yeah, she was a grump. And really strong. And smelly, and a bad kis...
Thanks again for arriving when you did."

"You're stronger than you look, Comet."
>From your angle you see the twitch in his antennae, he's surprised.
"I'm not much of a natural fighter anyway, Lockdown was a real grump: strong, smelly, kept thinking I was a mare, and a bad kis-uh, thanks for coming when you did."
>You start to list out the Captain's flaws, but hold off on that last one. You don't want Comet to get jealous and try and kiss you, no.

>"Hehe...well your fluff IS longer than usual for a stallion..." The brown and green moth giggles. "I'm surprised our new friend here doesn't mistake you for a mare too!"
"Nah! Breeze here knew I was all stallion right form the beginning! Aint' that right?"

>Breeze looks at you.
>You look at Breeze.
>"Well if I were honest..."
"Oh, come on!"

>Krisa can't help but laugh at the situation. Its infections, and soon the four of you are laughing off what could have been a life or death situation if things were different.
>The door clicks open, and the Mayor's face appears.
>"I've sent word, and an escort of Guards will be here soon to pick you up. Is there anything else you needed before you go?"
>>
>>28497565
I just want to thank you for helping us out, Mr. Mayor.
>>
>>28497565
We should make sure our cart and belongings are safe. I doubt Comet intended to leave it wherever it is for an extended period of time.
>>
>>28497565
Maybe the guards can assist us in making sure our stuff is safe.
>>
"Thanks for helping us out, Mayor."
>The stallion smiles at you and nods before closing the door behind him.

>The next while is filled with general small talk about each other, mostly Breeze and his life before being arrested. Apparently he's a trained weatherpony, courtesy of his mother.

>When the guards arrive you make sure to put in a word with their leader to take care of the cart that Comet stashed away. The Sergeant (but mostly the Mayor) was slightly frustrated at not being informed earlier, but wouldn't let you leave to retreive it. Instead, he sent a few ponies to bring the cart and your belongings to the house you would be going to. The cart was waiting at your destination before you even arrived.

>With a click, the door closed shut and the four of you set your bags down on the floor. The Mayor set you up with a pretty nice place, all things considered. A small house part of an entire row near a Guard Station. It was a little empty furniture-wise, but it had all the necessities, even a space to park your cart.

>"Woo! I call first dibs on the bathroom!" Comet races off with his satchel in tow, cosmetics and drawings of clothes nearly falling out.
>Breeze cries out in alarm, and rushes to catch up. Its just been a REALLY long time before he got a proper bath, you suppose.
>Krista just rolls her eyes and says she wants to claim one of the two bedrooms before the others do. She gives you a comforting pat on the shoulder before she leaves.
>"So, we're free. Or will be free. Its been...interesting, I guess. Beats a cold damp cell at any rate. What do you think?"
>>
So shall I end in one post, or two?
>>
>>28497666
I vote two.
>>
>>28497666
Two for good measure
>>
>>28497661
so uh...what DO you think?
>>
>>28497661
Despite everything, it has been weirdly fun? and exciting?
Honestly though, you gotta teach me your secrets, how did you fit everything in your alchemy bag anyway? You threw, like thrice the amount that should fit in the bag.
>>
>Well what you think of everything that's happened is just too much to put into one sentence, but you'll try.
"Its been...strangely fun. And exciting, despite everything."
>You end your sentence with a shrug. Ah well, better than nothing.
>"That's it?"

"...well since you're asking, you've gotta teach me your secret."
>You point a hoof to her satchel.
"How do you fit everything in there? I see you carrying like, thrice as much as should be physically possible. Do you have that enchanted or something?"

>Krisa looks incredulous at your question, before chuckling lightly.
>"That's what you say? Well, if you must know, I don't."
>...what.

>"Really! Some things, you just have to keep closer to yourself."
>She brings a hoof into her chest floof
>And then removes it, along with...that lewd magazine from the Captain's office?
>Wait, no. Its the same title, but this one has a different pony on the cover, among other things. How did she...?
>"I think you'll find more use out of this than I will." She winks conspiratorially before heading up the stairs, leaving you all alone...with a dirty (hopefully only in content) magazine.

>"Best friends watch out for each other!" she calls down from somewhere above.
>>
>>28499453
Read that dirty magazine as we fade to black.

>A quick glance around and a moment confirms what you already know.
>You're all alone down here. Krisa's upstairs in one of the rooms while Breeze is probably in another waiting for Comet to finish his shower.
>Its easy to tell by the faint sound of way too much water being used.

>So you don't have to worry too much about what happens next...
>Getting comfortable, you set yourself down on a nice of the couch, back to the wall, and flip the cover. Slowly but surely the-
"Oh my...!"
>T-those belts...

>Flip.
>What's that Zebra mare going to do with that potion, you wonder?

>Flip.

>Ooh, the centerfold!

>I-is that moth stallion licking a hammer?! I-in socks?
>You think you need to take a shower, soon.

*END SCENE, FADE TO BLACK*
>"Sami, do you know how long Comet takes to- AAH MY EYES!"
"Ah, fudge."
>>
We did it!
Thanks for running the quest. It was a lot of fun.
>>
Opinion time.

What's good? What wasn't?

Don't bother saying update schedules though, I can't do anything about that.

Can we get an epilogue?
>>
>>28505543
What kind of epilogue?
>>
>>28505566
Well, we were charged with a couple of crimes and we did expose some possible corruption.

That was fun, which moment in the quest was your favourite?

You know, just to see what happens due to what we did.

I'm just trying to figure out what I should put in this.

I'll probably take another day
