Well, to be fair, it's still not as bad as Siege of the Crystal Empire, but shows yet again IDW just has so much trouble taking an interesting concept and executing it well.

The deus ex machina was complete garbage and it was extremely rushed. They crammed it all in in one page while the more interesting battle between Pinkie and NMM was going on.

The way all the "evil" Mane 6 are defeated is complete crap. There was no cleverness at all to beat these mares at all. It was just predictable traps that anyone could see a mile away. We don't even get to see Luna/NMM face off against these evil ponies in an epic battle.

Speaking of which, why was Luna just disguised as NMM? I may have missed something, but she wasn't hit with any of the cure at all. She was just somehow disguising herself as NMM. There was no real need to do this at all.

About the only good things about this arc were evil Pinkie, the art was decent, and it had a solid start and middle. This issue though basically pisses it all away. Way to go, IDW, way to go.

3/10, solely for Dr. Doom Rarity, and some of the other cooler villain stuff. This was bad, even by IDW's normal standards. It felt rushed even for an MLP arc. Like maybe if they stuck it out with one more issue, it could have been better, but I felt like they built up nothing.

This really should prove IDW does not give two shits, nor do they put any thought into it.

Honestly the best thing that we can hope for is Hasbro comes along for Guardians of Harmony, gets deeply involved and REALLY mandates the shit out of them because they want the comics good for their toys. So I say we all just pray for that.

Meh/10. On the one hand, at least there wasn't some ridiculous deus ex machina we've literally never seen or heard of before that instantaneously fixed everything in the last 3 pages. They at least had to stretch out solving the problem over the majority of an issue.

...on the other hand, everything is fixed in the last three pages, ensuring we never have to hear of this arc again. Typical.

It's a weird kind of situation where at least it isn't offensively contradictory or bad like Reflections, the Forest Deer arc, or Siege; it's just dumb and boring, which is only marginally better. The "bad Mane6" are once again rendered down to such basic personalities that they only need the simplest of tricks over one or two pages to rope each into turning good again.

I'll repeat what I said in an earlier storytime for this arc, which is that this entire storyline would have been vastly improved if everything regarding the CMC, Luna, and possibly Zecora was deleted and instead the spotlight was solely on the Evil6. Let them hinder each other with their antics, eventually solving the situation by taking each other out. Maybe Spike steps in at the last minute to finish solving everything and apply the 'cure' to the last one, having been hinted at by background shots in the rest of the comic.

kind of rushed and didn't really do a good job of showing what the mane six would be like as Evil; Fluttershy and rarity were the only ones that really felt right, the others were kind of phoned in.

That being said, I really liked the closing line where luna said that it was a good thing that the six of them weren't working together when they were evil because together they'd have been unstoppable: this is a great nod to the theme of the series and a really good closing line, and I actually found it kind of heartwarming.
Kind of sad about this arc, it had a shit ton of potential, but while its not BAD, it really squandered alot of it.
