What the fuck? Will LoE beat it?
not a chance

>Almost 900 out of 1000 gave it over four stars
Also I liked how the tomato fags didn't bother reviewing it.
>>28296663
The lewd and the interesting story revolving about magic is already there, if it gets good songs too I'd say it has a pretty good chance.

Makes me wonder what critics' reaction will be to the 2017 movie.

Mines on 40% - 50% freshness. Bonus points for being 2D animation in today's cinema world, but I don't see the movie being some animated classic that will be remembered as anything other than 'that movie that exists because bronies do'.

Hasbro are probably spending for a box office success as opposed to an award nominater (as demonstrated by the fact we're on a fifth Bayformers shitfest, and how they handle putting toys into the show), so they're probably not going to buy off 90%+.

I'm thinking a bit optimistically and hoping for between 70-80%, because what little we have in the way of the storyline sounds like it has potential, and I honestly think that Meghan is a good writer, for as much flak as she gets for her showrunning.
>>28296915
Plus one of the Mulan writers was brought in to co-write the script. I have zero faith in Meghan post-28 pranks later.

I have no delusions that the 2017 mlp movie is going to be the Toy Story of our animation age but is it to much to hope it to stand above the others released this year? At the very least have it do better then The PowerPuffGirls movie.

I'd like to make a version of this with Faust and McCarthy.

So the real question is"Will that writer get down to business"?

I'd like a version of Mattell then Hasbro, simply out of spite.
>>28297474
>Mattell then Hasbro
You mean like Yonder giving the thumbs up for monster high then dismissive gesture for EQG? That could be funny if it weren't for Mattel getting torn a new one by Hasbro. Also I don't know where you could even use it to make it worth making.
>>28297457
I would be thrilled if the MLP movie is up to the level of Mulan. Of course, characterization will be what makes or breaks the film - can they stay true to the Mane 6's characters, to what makes them appealing, while also re-presenting them for audiences that can't be assumed to have watched the show?
>>28297546
>Mattel getting torn a new one by Hasbro
You mean in general, or is EqG more profitable than Monster High nowadays?
>>28297654
Hasbro stole that multi-million dollor Disney contract right out from under Mattel and the Minis are selling like hotcakes.

Why so butthurt, anon? They knocked it out of the park with the movie. I went into it expecting it to be complete shit like the first and it blew me away. Then I went into the third hoping it would be like RR and wanted to kill myself for having hope afterwards.
They did a good job. Take your fucking blinders off and just admit it.

Dude fuck you, Rainbow Rocks fucking ruled...it had the music, the hotties, the humor, it had it all
I fucking love Rainbow Rocks, it's one of my favorite movies, like top 20 I guess, and no no EQG will ever beat it
That movie was just good, simply good

i fucking loved rainbow rocks but i was surprised by the ratings

The PPG movie made me cry, I would be shocked and amazed if this movie was better.
>>28301039
The PPG movie was unquestionably great, a triumph, even. It really was a shame it failed at the box office.
>>28300625
Rainbow Rocks was great, mostly because it had songs in a movie about songs.
The third one was weird because it didn't even had a lot of games around and too many characters were added without expanding them further. It kinda reminded me of the Equestria Games episode.
>>28301173
Friendship Games would have been so much better if it focused on the Shadowbolts being villains to the mane characters
Synch...or Cinch...or w/e, was just boring and lame as a villain. Like I get the story and it makes sense, but it just didn't have the appeal of Rainbow Rocks. Rainbow Rocks had a formula to be replicated
>>28297456
A version with Faust and Renzetti followed by McCarthy and Miller.
>Still better scores than BvS

I don't understand, the third btfo of the second in every way except maybe music.
