HOLY SHIT NIGGA! The Dazzlings are really digitized conscioussnesses each controling a hardlight projector gem remotely. With their projectors destroyed, the girls are forced to face their true nature. A nature they'd escaped from and all but forgotten.
As Adagio is driven insane by the revelation, she articulates her thoughts in the only way that comes natural to her. Singing.

Notice how Sunset is in a hospital. They probably tried to hurt her earlier.

In one of my older WIPs Sunset goes missing and SciTwi recruits a childhood friend of Sunset's to help her find her.
Anon and SciTwi intercept the Dazzlings on their way to the portal. They have taken Sunset hostage. The Dazzlings make it through the portal but not before Aria stabs SciTwi. Anon is forced to pursue them on his own.

Through a combination of anon's thoughts and viewer knowledge, it is revealed to the reader that pony Sunset took out her human counterpart and replaced her, feigning emotional trauma to explain her supposed amnesia. Anon was the kindly human Sunset's friend and kid-love interest. He'd realize that at some point and question whether he should save pony Sunny or leave her to her fate.

Must admit, I doubt Dazzlings mini dolls will surface this year myself.

There's been rumours of an Adagio one for some time, but no pictures. (Amazon listing).

I suspect Hasbro will do the Dazzlings, but probably as a set of 3, as Aria and Sonata were less popular than Adagio in the bigger dolls.
That said, I'd be getting them anyway. Probably twice. (One for my daughter, and one for my own collection, which are remaining in their packaging).

Snowflakes are gliding peacefully down from the sky, covering the landscape with a white veil. It is a cold night in the forest. Most living creatures, both human and animal, have retreated to their dens and families for warmth, comfort and safety.
It's almost crazy to think that someone would be looking for comfort out here in the cold dark forest.

A car disturbs the still night, twin cones of light illuminating the path ahead. It's tires kick up snow as it moves forward, taking it's driver and passenger deeper into the woods outside Canterlot City.

Roughly an hour ago.

Sunset sat in SciTwi's kitchen sipping hot cocoa thoughtfully from a thick mug. The two of them have grown close over the past few months. Rumours circulate about the nature of their relationship. Some go as far as to gleefully whisper that the two youngsters are tasting the forbidden fruit of lesbian love.
Fantasies, all of it. Nothing could be further from the truth. For the only thing Sunset shares with SciTwi during the long hours in Sparkle's basement lab is her knowledge of magic. The magic expert has joined forces wih the science expert in an effort to understand how magic works in this world.

Their efforts weren't particularly successful, but they brought a troubling issue to light. While Harmonic magic isn't harmful to the fabric of reality due to it being invoked by positive feelings and used sparingly, Equestrian magic has a tendancy of eating at the boundaries between the two worlds. If enough villains use their magic recklessly, they can cause a permanent breach. Sunset doesn't need to watch Imaginationland twice to know that humans will react rather poorly at this.

Sunset put her thick mug down and looked at the marshmellow floating on the surface.

"But...They're just three ordinary girls now, right?" she asked hopefully as she leaned forward on her elbows. They were both still wearing their lab coats.

SciTwi just sat quiet for a few seconds, going over the data in her mind before giving an answer. The silence did nothing to put Sunset at ease. She picked up the marshmellow and ate it. It's a nervous habit.

"No. No I don't think so. I believe they still have magic in them."

"But their pendants are gone."

"As is the crown you brought from Equestria, but our friends still bear it's power. Our friends..."

SciTwi never had friends before. There was Cadance, but she was like family to her. Even more so now that she is carrying Shining's baby and will be marrying him soon. She's suddenly found herself surrounded by people she cares about and feels responsible for.
Her next words came out with more conviction.

"We can't chance it, of this I'm certain. We need to bring the sirens in and contain their magic. From what you've told me they haven't had a change of heart. They are too dangerous to just ignore."

Sunset was taken aback by this. It'd taken her some time and effort to separate the two Twilights in her mind. Pony Twilight was decisive while Human Twilight was a pushover. To see her acting like this, blurring the line between the two, confused her.

"Alright. Do you have something in mind?"

"...I know a guy. Grab your coat, we're going to meet him now."

Back to now.

The car stops in a clearing in the middle of nowhere. SciTwi leaves the engine running.

"We're here" she says as she unbuckles her seatbelt. "Now listen, Sunset. My guy is...timid. Don't come out and make no loud noises. If anything happens to me then drive away. Okay?"

"This doesn't sound wholesome to me, Twilight."

"Okay?"

"Fine. Okay."

SciTwi opens the door and the cold night air instantly sucks the heat out of the car.

"Close the door behind you!" says Sunset as she pulls her legs close to her body.

SciTwi closes the door behind her and walks a few feet in front of the car, always staying in front of the headlights. She is more prepared for the cold than Sunset is and can stay out for a few minutes. However there is no telling how long she'll have to wait. Perhaps he is nearby. Perhaps he is somewhere out there taking part in an operation or drifting. Perhaps he is...

"No. He is okay." said the science girl to calm herself. However it didn't do much so instead she takes a pack of smokes and a lighter out of her pocket. She started smoking some time around two years ago back when she was trying to fall in with a bad crowd. They laughed in her face, but she found that smoking calmed her nerves. So instead of kicking the habit entirely, she only smoked as stress-relief. And right now she needs some.

She turns her back towards the car before lighting a cigarette. She doesn't want Sunset to see her smoking. Though it happened before her time, SciTwi has heard stories about the time Sunset found out Dash was taking creatine and doesn't want to have to go through the same drama.
While the humidity made the air feel even colder, at least it wasn't windy and so the cigarette catches fire easily. The smoke mixes with SciTwi's breath as she exhales. There are those who find smoking sensual, and even they wouldn't find her smoking enticing.

She's almost finished her first cigarette when a dark figure emerges from the bushes nearby. A man clad in form-fitting biker armor black as the night save for a few red decorations. A black biker helmet with a red visor hides his features. The tools of his trade are strapped on his back and hip.
He approaches SciTwi, the snow scrunching under his boots as he steps on it. However he stays away from the car's headlights, prefering to stay in the dark. He stands still and silent.

"Biker Ninja. Good to see you're still alive. Last I saw you you were fighting Ninjack atop a burning building."

Biker Ninja neither says a thing nor moves a muscle.

"I-errr. We don't talk about Ninjack. I forgot. Ahem. Listen. I am in need of your services. There are three girls in Canterlot City I need you to find."

Biker Ninja's hand closes around the hilt of one of his swords.

"No lethal stuff. I want them alive."

The ninja reaches for the pistol on his hip.

"And unspoiled."

Biker Ninja spreads his arms and looks to the sky. Then he turns, bends over and slaps his asscheeks invitingly.

"Such language! I'll provide you with capture tools and intel. Were you so vulgar last time?"

The ninja rubs two fingers against his thumb.

"You'll be paid the standard finder's fee with each successful capture. They're three teenage girls for crying out loud. How expensive can it be. Anyway, you're going to have to come with me. Want me to give you a ride?"

Biker Ninja takes a few steps back and disappears into the bushes. SciTwi drops her cigarette and twists her foot as she steps on it before heading back to the car and it's relative warmth.

"What do you mean? Didn't you see him?" asks SciTwi as she clicks her seatbelt closed.

"See who?"

SciTwi turns the car around and drives away from the clearing, following the path that will take them back home. Sunset is sleeping at her place tonight.

"The tall guy with the biker gear."

"Where did you see him? All I saw was you standing out there in the snow for a while."

"Hahaha...Of course!"

"What's so funny?"

"Oh nothing."

"Tell me."

SciTwi just smiles, causing Sunset to pout, cross her arms over her chest and look outside the window. They sit like this for about a minute when a black bike bursts out of the bushes and lands right next to the car from the passenger's side with a thud, matching it's speed.
The sudden appearance causes Sunset to panic and try to jump away towards the other seat, bumping into SciTwi who manages to keep control of the car.

"Eeeek! Twilight!"

"Watch it! Are you trying to get us killed in the middle of the forest?"

"Oh I'm sorry. It's just that A FLIPPING BLACK BIKER BURST OUT OF NOWHERE! Twilight, he's gonna murder and rape us!"

"He's gonna ra-He's gonna what? Are you crazy? Roll down the window."

"I'm crazy?!" asks Sunset in a shrill voice.

SciTwi curses internally and bites her lip as she leans over Sunset and rolls the window down with one hand on the wheel and her eyes on the road.

"Sunset this is my guy, Biker Ninja. Biker Ninja, this is Sunset Shimmer. Okay now roll the window up." yells SciTwi in order to be heard over the noise.

Sunset is quick to comply. She studies this biker ninja guy with a weary eye. He turns his head and nods at her.

"Hah!" says SciTwi. "I think he likes you!"

I'm not feeling it anymore. I dunno, I hate mentioning a character's name again and again, saying "X did this. X did that" every few lines. Plus I'm having trouble with the tenses, and there's the ever present problem of describing dynamic scenes that would look better animated.
What are your thoughts, mates? How would you handle it?

Things future updates would (will?) include

>Biker Ninja finds Aria who is working in a small chinese restaurant and attacks her in an alley when she takes out the trash. He is forced to retreat after fighting the restaurant owner/cook who wants no trabu.

>Biker Ninja goes to a night club intent on capturing Sonata after the girls notice her in the background of one of Pinkie's pictures from a night-out. She is a cage dancer. Sunset tags along because he isn't suited for social interactions. Despite her efforts, Biker Ninja gets into a fight with the security and kills or maims a couple people. The club owner complains to the crimelord selling him protection about it.

>After being attacked, Aria and Sonata meet up and decide to warn Adagio. They unknowingly lead Biker Ninja to her. He attempts to capture all three sirens at the same time but is thwarted when armed guards arrive and open fire at him.

>It turns out that Adagio managed to seduce and marry a sugar daddy. The local crimelord who is selling protection to the club Sonata was working in, and a renouned philanthropist who uses charity to launder money. The crimelord declares war on Biker Ninja for attacking his turf and his trophy wife.

I'm not talking a simple guest bedroom or a closet; no, this was a full master bedroom with a ceiling height of 3 or so meters stacked with these things, covering every single wall. Three boxes deep in some places, two in others. That's just the walls. The floor was littered with these things, making navigating the room akin to walking through a mine field small piles threatening to bury you if you nudged them too hard. A good 2 x 2 meter area in the center of the room was another pile of these dolls, stacked to the ceiling yet again. The worst part of all this: I couldn't avoid that room for the life of me. All the cousins would have to pass through that creepy room, those beady eyes staring at us wherever we went, silently judging and watching us while we struggled our way to the attic ladder so we could watch tv and play flight simulators on the the old desktop set up there.

That fucking room is still burned in my memory to this day, all those dolls staring back with lifeless eyes. I can't do dolls man, I just can't.
