Because none of that is actually a big deal compared to the MLP movie. The movie has comparatively big names like Emily Blunt and Michael Pena, it's getting a full theatrical release (not just limited screenings like EqG), it has a bigger budget with updated character designs and a different animation suite, and to be frank, people just like mainline MLP more.

I'm not convinced it will be an explosion of hype and a fandom rebirth, but at the very least, it's going to renew some interest and get some people back on the ride.
