If you can't see the decline in quality of the show then you have awful taste and I don't know what you people ever saw in it in the first place. This season has had so many episodes ranging from sub-par to disastrously awful and the good ones have been few and far between. I wish things weren't the way they are but you have to acknowledge the truth and not pretend to yourself that people just "stopped liking the show." The show just stopped being good enough for them.

S5 was nearly as well received as S1 and S2. S6 is sub-par, with a few standouts but no real "wow" moments or pathos to set it apart. Even the premiere was something of a wet fart.

It isn't because the show's run out of ideas; it's because for S6 we're in a shit/untested writer period. Too many newbie freelancers. When Mitch and Meghan come back, hopefully that will change, and we'll get some consistency again.

I like how people say the show is at its lowest point yet we have more story, characters and lore to follow. You're kind of an idiot to think that it would have sat stagnant for a fanbase always asking for more. Hasbro and company could have taken any direction they wanted to (and keep in mind there may have been many worse options from Twicorn, Royal baby, etc.) and personally the ride hasn't been so bad. We still get a mix of those down to earth m6 episodes and other older characters thrown in, but we also see the story progress and hatchets buried among older enemies.

I honestly couldn't tell you. Why are the writers on any show shit? I do remember Mitch saying in a podcast that seasons 1 and 2 had almost no freelancers, and there was a lot more consistency in the writers' room as a result. He characterized S2 in particular as the time when the show was "firing on all cylinders," "a well-oiled machine."

the fandom is not dying, it's settling down, it will pick up again when the movie comes out and will have a surge when G5 comes out

this happens more often than many realize, Star Trek is a prime example of this
with each new show, their fandom grows significantly, then tapers off by the end of the series
they have comicons, fanfiction, RPG's, etc to tide them over until the next version of the franchise comes out, it's the nature of the beast
