I have never cried to a piece of media because of sadness. I cried once when I watched a horror movie when I was like 8 but that's the only time. I've never cried over something fictional. Is there something wrong with me? Even the manliest men I have meet have cried over movies and shit. Part of me feel like everyone else is an emotional cretin but another part of me feel like I'm missing something important. Please tell me I'm not the only one.

I'm pretty sure that I'm not a sociopath and very sure I'm not schizophrenic. The only times in my life were I've cried is when I get hurt (emotionally usually) or get scarred. I've never cried out of happiness and when a loved one is hurt, I get extremely sad but I never cry, I just get kinda depressed.

Yea, it was tough to see her taken away like that. Although I have to say that, personally, the gallows scene got more out of me. I didn't cry but it definitely made me feel things.

Nothing mlp related has made me cry, the closest was Dashie, but I give that to being so new to the fandom/fanfiction. I don' know if it would bring out the same reaction if I reread it.

I went back after all the new action adventure seasons and rewatched season one

I got really emotional watching 'Putting your Hoof Down'. I felt so happy for Angel and his emotional progression through the episode :)

Season three had the most tear-jerkers, definitely. I cried a little when Sombra died :( he will be missed lol

I experienced something similar to this when I rewatched The Ticket Master last week. It was the first episode I ever watched, and thinking back to that surreal feeling of realizing that I was genuinely enjoying a little girls' show combined with the warmness I felt inside watching it made me tear up. Nostalgia can be a very moving thing.

First time I ever got misty eyed probably was the song At the Gala. Just seeing everyone so optimistic and one of the biggest steps towards achieving their dreams was touching, even though I wasn't aware it was just the beginning.

The final scene of Amending Fences also got to me with just how lovely it's constructed with the music and zooming into the picture. Just felt so happy.

And most recently, Crusaders of the Lost Mark. That sense of parental pride and joy just can't be beaten.

Man that story really reminds me of this sad, vivid dream I once had, where I was some sort of space government representative/researcher coming across the Equestrian planet in it's final moments, dying by its star becoming a red giant and heating it until it became a volcanic hellscape.

After a bit of searching, falling, and hitting my head, I come to to see Celestia. She was living in a charred husk of a castle surrounded by seven more recently built towers that warded off the heat and lava. She led me to the library, where she both handed me some magic artifact and a large book that detailed Equestrian history from beginning to end. Her one request was that I shared this knowledge with my people, that the ponies' memories shouldn't be ever forgotten.

I promised her yes, and began to fly off in my spacecraft. Then I got the idea of going back and insisting for her to come with me, but by that point, the magic of the towers failed, and I watched as the castle was consumed by a wave of lava.

The readings of my spacecraft updated to say that the planet was now void of intelligent life.


I'm a drawfag and I've been meaning to draw this as some sort of comic for the longest time now. I just don't know if I would be emotionally capable of doing it.
