Honestly I think the reason for this poll's result lies more in the prevalence of porn over gore.
Perhaps I'm wrong, but I think you're more often confronted with content that contains sexualized ponies than with content that contains slaughtered ponies.
So all the normalfags in the fandom who like neither are moe annoyed by the porn, especially when outsiders think of it as the main reason the fandom is weird, and they feel the need to distance themselves from it.

As someone who emigrated from Russia, and who maintains contact with the younger generation within Russia, I can say that it's mostly the older folks and gopniks who have such conservative opinions that are touted by the Eastern/Russian Orthodox Church as being against degeneracy.
