That's the way this story goes every time so I wouldn't doubt it especially since they can't not have it work out because writing off a main character for this series wouldn't ever work.

I really wish it would have been Rarity, Pinkie, and Dash. They each seem to have their own daydreams and tend to exaggerate certain events. AJ seems like the most down to earth character out of the main 6 and thus it makes it seem weird that she would be the one to exaggerate a story. I feel like her, Fluttershy, and Twilight would be the most level-headed and let their opinions/visions not cloud their view of events. Oh well, wasted plot just so they could stick Rarity and AJ yelling at oneanother in another episode.
