I just finished watching the episode and the first thing I did was go back and listen to the song again. I wasn't here to talk about the episode right after it aired yesterday, but I went back and read some of the comments people made and I noticed a few people were saying they thought the song was the worst part. I thought it was sweet, and I think Spike got a bit of redemption for the anthem mishap. On the other hand people seem to really love Thorax, but he didn't really seem that great to me. Maybe in the future some time they'll do something really interesting with him, and I would like to see that.
I usually like to watch the new episode a few times over the week after it airs, and and right now the song will be the part I look forward to.

The things that puzzle me most are the things that actually manage to stay on air. There's so much shit that lasts a mere week or two before being axed that it's not really worth any note.

The truly perplexing things are the things that somehow keep kicking. To be fair, these things aren't usually as outright offensive to the senses as the stuff that gets shitcanned, but it boggles me more that certain things are still on air.

Actually answering your question, for me it's stuff like Postman Pat, Fireman Sam, and any other animation that uses this incredibly weird, soulless, cheaply rendered 3D. It's even worse when the shows used to be puppets or animation and have since devolved into becoming CGI. It really spooks me how some of these shows have been on the airwaves through literal decades and multiple generations, even surviving a complete production overhaul. They're like roaches.
