I got into it because the graphics were cute and I enjoyed the project of reverse engineering a dead server to build a custom one. I wasn't really particularly interested in playing the game, and after releasing the proof of concept server (and a few bugfixes) I returned to working on my other hobby projects.

As long as people still want to play on it, I don't want the alt server to die, but I'm just not passionate about continuing it myself.
