Her voice is a little breathier than she would have liked, and she can feel her cheeks growing warm. "A-And if I say no?"
He gives her a half-smile, the one that always made her feel weak at the knees. "Then I begrudgingly let you scamper off on your merry way."
Swallowing hard, her hand tightens on his and she gives him a small nod. "Fine. One dance. But where is the music?"
He's already leading her, and he hums. "One wonders about that, love. If you must know, it's in the rustle of the wind, the shuffle of our steps and..." his hand around her waist travels up to her chin, tilting her face up towards his. "the sound of your voice."
