MLP is HASBRO'S TOP SELLING GIRLS BRAND. It may not be their number 1 brand (I think that's Nerf but I could be wrong) but it sells great. MLP has a good audience. Little girls, casual fans, parents, us (bronies) and people who might like it because they like unicorns or something. Hasbro will up the advertising for this thing because they know this. It may not be a smash hit, but it will sell. Hard. It will make them SO MUCH MONEY.

Neither of those are going to happen, and the movie isn't going to change that. Anything good to come out of the film has already been re-written into shit by Hasbro because it doesn't advertise garbage toys enough. Two movies haven't stopped Spongebob from airing, or even The Simpsons, so don't expect this to be a finale to FIM.

Nah, its not fake. The plot willinvolve Mane6 looking for mcguffinsL water stone in sea pony land, air stone in Gryphon land and Fire stone in Dragon land.

It will probably get shitty reviews, because it's essentially going to be a quadruple length episode that expects viewers to have some prior knowledge about the show/cast, but for fans it will be a worthy closing of the Friendship is Magic arc, probably setting up that Guardians of Harmony thing we've been seeing bits and pieces of.
