It wasn't bad, but it epitomizes all the worst instincts of the show. S4 as a whole was structured around Twilight Sparkle as the main character with the other 5 in secondary roles. Personally I thought S5 was handled better. The mane 5 weren't involved in the actual conflict as they were not physically there to fight Glim Glam. Meanwhile in Twilight's Kingdom they are there, but literally sit on their asses the entire time and serve as damsels in distress.
