I did enjoy having a villain that wasn't some behemoth from Greek legend or some ridiculous OP chaos lord but was instead, just a pony. I was terribly disappointed she was redeemed so fast and then dragged into the show to replace Twilight because the handling of Twilight had gone tits up since her alicornification.

This guy was the best villain...

Even since he's reformed, he is still powerfull and feared by all because of his (unlimited?) powers.

But, I think Glim is a good thing for Twilight. Teaching friendship and its power to someone else will help her become a real princess.

Let's see what the writer will make with this little unicorn. Maybe she will come back to the town she used to rule.

I would have honestly much preferred Starlight to hang around as a recurring antagonist throughout season 6. Although I'm not opposed to her being eventually reformed, I wish it hadn't happened as fast as it did. If I were the showrunner, I would have kept Starlight as an antagonist for season 6 and then (assuming there is a season 7) transition towards reforming her the next season.

Starlight Glimmer would have been a great antagonist if her backstory actually made sense, and they admitted that her philosophy might actually make sense from her viewpoint, rather than having it all stem from one incident that has only a superficial relation to cutie marks or any of her other beliefs.

Starlight was excellent until they shoved this retarded backstory in our faces. Really, the only reason why it hasn't made me kick her to the curb is because it's *so* bad that it breaks my willing suspension of disbelief, thus I can't bring myself to apply it to her even though it's technically canon. The fact that Sunburst's design is on par with the typical Deviant Art OC only makes it worse.
