Oh, I've got the reason all plugged in. It's more of a character who tries to be aloof and grandiose about things, so she keeps trying to give shallow and sometimes unconvincing rationalizations and mostly fake reasons to do lovey-dovey things for the main character.

A kind of tsundere character, but with an "I'm an important professional" feeling, and the normal tsun hostility directed away from the object of her affections as opposed to towards them. The (slight) humour is supposed to come from her not really being very good at nurturing, but not bad enough at it to hurt the nursed character.

Making the MC take the day off instead of working through the illness because "It's critical that you're always in top form". Insisting on feeding the MC herself rather than him doing it, or a nurse or very close underling? "There's a limit to how far the help can be trusted."

That kind of thing.

Interesting as in they actually progress and start to meaningfully bridge past the language barrier, and in the process lay some of the groundwork for a background of the setting. Interesting as in bringing in a third party and throwing a wrench in the works by having them also get stuck in a fish-out-of-water scenario because something went wrong.

Also, Anon works out that this weird society decides hierarchy by ass size. It actually seems like a half-way reasonable conclusion, given what he knows, and how he tries to learn in the story.
