Well then you are going to be very upset friend.

In the Season 6 finale Celestia will defeat the villain by using a very special type of magic to turn into her super form and incinerate her with giant sun pony lasers. The final attack was so massive it makes the entire Tirek fight look like nothing and creates an explosion so big that it destroys an entire mountain range.

Then Celestia dies and dissolves into stardust because the spell she used was a special form of magic that consumes all of a pony's magic and energy, including the energy they need to stay alive, literally a self-sacrifice magic. This is meant to kick off a plot thread about Twilight learning this magic from watching Celestia use it and being tempted to do the same thing in a later season when things seem hopeless.

It's all very emotional and sad and edgy and stuff but the fight scene looks incredible and really epic.
