the worst i would go is forcing them to work an unreasonable amount of hours a day while simultaneously starving them. when they'd collapse on the job, i would whip them and give them less food. when they eventually die, they will be buried in a mass burial in a place alongside the area they were working.

i would come and look them in the eye as they die from the combined exhaustion, lacerations, and starvation, and keep moving, collecting the fruits of their labour and profiting from their loss.
