True, however I've noticed that Haber has a bit of a 'style over substance' problem with his writing. He has a tendancy to focus too much on being "cool" and "epic" at the expense of telling a solid, character driven story.

This was apparent with both Friendship Games and the Season 5 Finale, both of which were written by Haber.

In FG the ending fight was cool but lacked emotion or substance and felt like a quick way to rap up the movie without any real character development.

In the finale the alternate timelines were cool but it would have made more sense and been more emotionally engaging to use a single timeline that were only mildly different (as in, the bad guys still lost but at some form of cost, the focus then could have been more character driven with Twilight trying to pull things together with her former friends all with this foreboding feeling that the next big threat would be the straw that broke the camel's back and destroyed everything because of the compromises that had to be made to keep Equestria safe without the Elements).

Twilight now has PTSD about Midnight sparkle and is explicitly super important as the most magically powerful of the group for her to overcome this and work to be some sort of magical girl. Sunset has her backstory as being from equestria, and struggling to find her place in the world.

So those two have stories for the staff to focus on; but the other 5 have nothing to work with, they're just... there.
