That whole episode was the writers saying "We fucked up but don't worry. Princess Twiggles still needs her friends". Twily was the fandom and AJ was the writers.

As someone who has Apple Bloom as their favorite and was spoiled by her many well-written roles in season 5, I can't help but be kind of disappointed here. Especially since her only role so far was an episode that was supposed to give clarity on what they're up to, but ended on a very vague, confusing note, instead.

its not THE WORST, but its not the best either.
Still don't give a shit about starlight, Its got the weakest Premier since The crystal empire, and there's no metaplot to tease anything good coming in the future.

Plus, its pretty obvious the finale is going to be a giant masturbation fest to starlight, so there's not alot to look forward to there for the end of the season.


Now, there are some good episodes, and Stranger than fan fiction was a nice change from how shitty newbie dash was, so the season can turn things around. But I don't have much hope that it'll rise up to more than 3rd place.

The lastest episode made me start hating the current season.

I don't really know it. It had some great episodes, but also some of my least favorite episodes in the entire show. Overall I'd say it's pretty weak, but I think I'll wait until it ends to rate it, just in case they are saving more good episodes for the second half which could raise my rating. Or more Dave Rapp episodes which would make me give the season a 0/10. So, yeah, I'll wait.

But personally something weird is going on for me right now regarding this show. S5 is my favorite season and I was extremely active on this board during and shortly after S5, but now I'm just completely burned out (I only visit /mlp/ 3 times a month, each time a minute or so). It's like my brain suddenly realised how I'm watching this show for about 5 years now and that's enough. Again, I think S6 is okay but the magic is gone for me. It's unbelievable, considering how I still loved this show shortly after S5 and this saddens me.

I also discovered an episode got leaked through Netflix 2 days ago, but I haven't felt any motivation to watch it either. Maybe later today...maybe

I've been enjoying it. There are some really good episodes this season and a few bad ones (pretty much like every season). I think I rank it something like this:

Never forget, it's a fucking ride, and ponies themselves are explosive.
When things mellow out, they stop being fun; we need excitement to push out that enjoyment.
MLP is a high, but too much and you stop realizing how much you actually enjoy that high.
In fact, it's very easy for a lot of people here to forget why they like the show.
Maybe for good reason.

A lot has changed over these 6 years; faces lost, new ones gained.
The community lessens, the community worsens; hell, the show itself worsens.
But you can't get rid of that hoofed liked we all share.
We are all united by the spark; sometimes small, sometimes large, but always present
We're all forced to be here, perhaps it's where we belong.

It's a curse that we all chose, but I don't think anyone here is truly upset.
Sometimes we just pony out, but this isn't necessarily a bad thing.
The lows help us appreciate the highs, and the highs help us realize the lows.
I myself have been burned out for a while, but recently I've been hit by the pone.
Re-watching episodes, reminding myself why I love these horses so much; it's great.

This show is a slow benign cancer that grows on all of us, a cancer that we can't ignore.
Sometimes we are intrigued by it, other times we notice it for the cancer it is and fall into despair.
But then we look on the bright side.
The cancer, it's a part of us; we should learn to love it.

You know what the best part is?
Right now I'm pretty fucking sick of the show.
But you know what?
I'm going to wake up tomorrow, browse /mlp/, and maybe watch an episode or two before bed.
And you know what else?
I'm going to be back here next Saturday to watch the stream.

Whether I'm exploding with enthusiasm or burnt out and fatigued, I'm still here and my memories stay.
The ponies, they stay too.
This show, this board, they're not just with me, they're also a part of me.
An autistic part of me that I wouldn't have any other way.

What episode is this from?

Feeling strong "meh" on S6 so far. Lot of the episodes are rather bad for MLP's standard and only one or two are outstanding and fun. I don't know if it is me dropping from the ride or the show, but I rather enjoyed S5 and S6 just isn't doing it for me so far.

I have actually been talking with people about whether I should be upfront about telling everyone my next project is fake from the get-go, I would rather get the ideas you mentioned partially animated than trying to have to come up with new ones. I realized from this animatic that no matter how well I pull off my next project on a technical level I already have the reputation for pulling off elaborate hoaxes, the ideas would still be the kind of ideas I would push in the show, and most importantly the level of trust with show staffers would essentially be taken as fact. However I am still considering trying to play it off as a hoax for a few reasons:

1. I don't think what I want to do is satisfying as an unofficial completely non-canon project.
2. I generally just want to hammer in a bunch of ideas I have in a short timeframe in a way that is significantly more appealing than a "Here are my ideas for the next season" video. A hoax trailer/leak is an easier framework to justify a bunch of various unfinished ideas.
3. These projects are meant to spark speculation and be discussion topics, I feel as unofficial projects they would be judged on their own merits rather than being compared to the official materials
4. Many of the ideas are wacky, but I still take them seriously as concepts that I think would be good for future stories. If I put a disclaimer that these are fake, then people might take everything as a joke.

I realize this is essentially an unwinnable scenario within this fandom which really upsets me.
