it's one of those overrated popular fics out there. But if you liked My Little Dashie and other very popular fanfiction chances are this will entertain you as well.

It's basically something light to read to get you into pony fanfiction. It's one of those pieces that most people absolutely love when they read and then notice all the flaws a few days after they're done.

Considering that there wasn't too much content in 2012 and few readers were too picky about fanfics, it's no shock that the thing got blown out of proportion. I, for example, would rather not overanalyze and think about the downsides of Past Sins, and just remember it for the good ride it was at the time.

All in all, I'd give it 7/10 if you're new to fanfics and 5/10 if you're not. Add anywhere from one to three points while you're actually reading it, and here's you're answer.

Give it a go. I really enjoyed it the first time reading it. If you like it, Pen Stroke has a handful of side stories that are also good, specially The Road Home.

The bit they added before the ending is pretty great, but I prefer the singing in the original. While it didn't sound like Luna, the performance fit with the song better- it started out soft and gradually became more bitter and aggressive toward the end. This singer is just loud all the way through.
