It is no secret that Hasbro plans to expand all their brands following their brand blueprint of "Compelling Storytelling."

Perhaps it can be leveraged on that basis to ask how they are planing to expand their 'major' brands such as mlp, littlest petshop, etc. Directing more to their series and if it will include the use of their new acquired in house animation studio.

Any answer will indicate either one of two things. Will hasbro be cutting off ties with previous studios Y/N and or Will the franchise expand (EQG series GOH series) Y/N

Well, technically, the very first reveal of the GoH toyline and the newest Equestria Girls movie were both from an Investor conference.

However, what you say is true. The people from Hasbro who are in this conference call will be there to present information they have prepared regarding all Hasbro brands and answer questions directly related to the financial futures of those brands. They aren't MLP experts and likely won't know much of anything related to the MLP franchise beyond the information they present during the conference call before they ask for questions.

At best we can find out what kind of revenue the MLP franchise and it's individual brands are currently generating plus Hasbro's immediate plans for the franchise as a whole and from there we could attempt to extrapolate how many more seasons/movies we can expect to get.

Well yes, exactly. And of course there will be MLP information presented regarding sales. But that's all this call really is. It's mostly about revenue and such. At best you can ask how lines are preforming and if to see them continue, like the Minis line for example.

I'm just saying, if you're going to do this, don't ask questions about things like the comics, or specific show questions, they'll have no fucking idea. Because this isn't what they're there for. It's an investment meeting, not a creative summit. They're only there to do their jobs which happens to be moving money. They're more likely to look at sales trends rather than whatever quality the product actually has.
Kind of hoping the minis have continued to sell well, myself. There's a lot of squandered potential in EqG that it would be a shame for it to die already.

Nothing in great detail but the last time this happened we found out about the EqG minis, the GoH toyline and the first promotional art for the new EqG movie was revealed.

They usually cover anything new coming out related to the brand for the next quarter. Which probably won't be much but we could get some new stuff about the EqG movie since it will be releasing during said quarter. There also may be some main show stuff or GoH stuff depending on what they have lined up for the period of August - October.

If they're planning to release anything in the next 3 months they'll mention it here to encourage further investment (and guarantee current investment).

Well that's not true, the Minis were revealed at New York Comic Con, not here. They posted a teaser, then revealed the images at the con. I believe GoH was shown off there too. And I think we knew about Legends of Everfeee before too, just the art was new.

They may show some small promo, but they never reveal anything completely unheard of or entirely unseen. Because that's not what investors sre interested in. They're more interested in numbers, most don't care for brands. I speak from personal experience, I actually attend the Shareholders meeting since I live near their HQ. These people don't care about Hasbro's products. They just want the numbers that look great.

I'd definitely think that's a fair question. From a business standpoint, there was something that went wrong with last year's EQG line, which seemed to fuck up a lot of the doll releases and cancel several things in the mainline and the EQG line.

Not much to say, everything is going fine, Pony declined slightly due to Hasbro transitioning their products, EqG dolls declined but was offset by EqG minis that sold really well.

Boulder Studio means a focus on internally produced, high quality animation for Hasbro animated series. Pony movie is coming out in October 2017 (we already knew that).

It was an investor conference call, can't expect much beyond finding out the current financial state of pony and EqG really.
