older ponyfag, been here since season one. Watched Season 5, enjoyed it, but haven't been into the fandom much in the past year.
Should I bother with season 6? How is it?
>>27882996
I'm not spoonfeeding you, watch the fucking show and form your own opinion.
Can we have a petition or some shit to get these threads banned?
btw OP kill yourself.
>>27882996
It's terrible. Don't watch it.
>>27882999
Do you function like this in real life?
>How, how did you like the movie?
"I'm not spoonfeeding you, watch the fucking movie and form your own opinion."
>How's the food, guys?
"I'm not spoonfeeding you, eat the fucking food and form your own opinion."
>Hey, how's that new game that came out? You like it?
"I'm not spoonfeeding you, play the fucking game and form your own opinion."
>>27883012
b'awww you get owies on your feewings?
>>27883012
I honestly can't tell if you're retarded or not but yes, all three of your examples are exactly what I would tell people.
>>27883012
Yes, most people do that. But then again I am not asked literally every single day the same question of how good something is usually, so there's that.
>>27882996
>>27883012
As you can tell, neo-/mlp/ has taken full root and you inadvertently tickled their main sore spot: they arrived after the show went completely down the shitter, and resent any allusion to its decline or how good it was back in the day.
The answer to your question is not really, but there are a few gems in there. I recommend watching it with a bottle or bong in hand.

>being an oldfig gives you special privileges
I've been here since 1849, shut the fuck up you faggots

You think the show has gone down the shitter? Is that a common sentiment?
>>27883077
>triggered by the suggestion of being new
>posts dazzling
Literal pottery
>>27883093
It was before all the good posters left, yes.
>>27883012
Understand that this board fields these questions every fucking day. Back when Season 6 started, we would get this question multiple times per day, usually without any variation.
>"Hey guys, I'm totally an oldfag and I left this board and show because xyz went to shit. Is Season 6 not shit?
The standard answer became to tell people to fuck off because, really, taking 20 minutes out of your day to watch an ep isn't hard.
To answer your question, if you enjoyed Season 5, you'll probably enjoy Season 6. Starlight's kind of annoying, but is a decent addition, and some episodes are rancid garbage, but overall it's been okay.

Really makes you think.Nice dubs.
>>27883093
Sort of, not really. The people who think that usually leave. Most people aren't stupid enough to stay in a place they hate. There's certainly people who think the new season is trash, but it's been that way since Season 3. Fuck, maybe even Season 2. I'd say that quality has lowered, and the show feels more like a standard kids show now, but it's still alright.
>>27883093
No.

Season 6 is the first season to feel like an expansion pack, rather than a new installment. It feels like Season 5 almost too much, if you skip the intro to the season you might be able to trick your mind into thinking it is still watching new episodes from the previous season rather than treating it like something new. This is due to the two seasons being written at the same time.
>Starlight Glimmer is a recurring character rather than being a part of the main cast. She doesn't really interact with anyone outside of Twilight and Spike.
>Intro episode focuses on two other recurring characters, Sunburst and Flurry Heart
>It still continues some plotlines from Season 5 such as the CMCs new goals and the cutie map.
But with some changes:
>Rarity is given a lot of focus this season, appearing in every episode except On Your Marks and being a major player in 4 of them.
>Barring one episode, it feels like the writers listened closely to complaints about Spike. If you agreed with the criticism, you will REALLY enjoy how he has been handled. If you didn't, expect to feel like his character has been changed into something it wasn't.

We get these threads all the time, and show discussion is easy to see in the general. Why do you have to contribute to the mountains upon mountains of "What is the appeal threads"/"[insert] here, haven't watched the show" threads? Fucking lurk, or watch a episode. The season is comparatively worse than the last season, but has some good and standout episodes. There's your answer.

>good posters
>they were good as in 'they agreed with and supported my retarded opinions and wanton nostalgia-tripping'
>I'm an oldfag I've been here for four summers
>>27883861
This thread really didn't need a bump
>>27883869
Well good job at bumping it newfag
>>27883888
I sage'd it but ok.
>>27882996
As someone who also enjoyed season five I'm generally disappointed in the sixth so far. I blame the fact the show has almost no old writers on staff. With that said there are still good episodes although there's only 12 of them out and only 4 of them are good.
