No, Derpibooru comes into play only for the first 4-5 pics and when I can't find decent new art.

95% of the pics come from the "more like this" page of Deviantart, in a neverending loop (look for pic, download it, click on "more like this", look for pic, download it, click on "more like this", etc...). Sadly they recently changed layout for said page, hiding the pic date, so I have to rely onto the progressive number, now (most recent pics are onto 607-620M, atm)

If it were done the way I suggested, you would need to find an artist whose ponies wouldn't clash with Shamanguli's scenery. It couldn't be an artist that draws 3D-like ponies with lots of detail, and it couldn't be someone with a very cartoony or rough style to their ponies.

Most collabs have one artist sketch and the other color. Shaman has a few art timelapse videos (https://www.youtube.com/user/Shamanguli) and a couple art timeline pics. Generally, he seems to paint the scenery without sketching first (pic related is the only exception). In a collab, they could follow the common method, but I'd imagine Shaman would be more comfortable doing it the first way.

A collab would be fun to see, even if it ended in failure.

This is honestly some of the worst shit. Finding a lovely piece but not being able to find the source. Then when you finally do it's a deleted Deviant account that's taken all their images with them. Frustrates me, Derpibooru has some things if you search the artist there which is useful, but not everything so it's still irritating

That and when there's an artist you like but they seem to have abandoned DA, or simply don't post Pony art anymore.

Not him, but Deviantart sources are easy to find using the filenames.

Problem is, a source is not a 'clean' way to state the artist, and many people tend to ignore an url when they see it. Also, stating the artist name instead of an url forces the user to go check for it, instead of just clicking on the source and then stop caring.

Oh no, don't worry, the lack of sources is something that bothers me too (albeit slighlty less than having a thread filled with long as fuck url stating every time the same thing, and sometimes even the wrong artist since DA sometimes forget to update the first part of the url when moving from a pic to another)

Thankfully, the shortened link seems a way cleaner solution.
