With a knowing look directed at you, she opened her eyes again, then turned her upper body to the left and right, proceeding with her ‘warm-up exercises’ and making her belly poke out even further – much to both, your delight and your discomfort.

However, your thoughts were interrupted as the voice of an announcer coming from a PA-system above your heads tore through the air, announcing that the next train would be departing momentarily.

“Sure.” She said casually, and grabbed a glass from somewhere underneath the counter, reaching for a bottle standing in a shelf behind her and pouring the brownish liquid into it.

All the while, while your mind felt disappointed and empty, your eyes still couldn’t leave her – or her belly, to be precise. Perhaps your subconsciousness was waiting for one of the buttons on her shirt to burst and reveal her glorious belly in all of its beauty – seeing how stretched the thin white fabric was, that didn’t even seem too unlikely.

Again, you opened your mouth to give a reply –you knew how to say ‘yes’ in twenty different languages, and now seemed like a good opportunity to put that knowledge to use- but all that came out was a breathless gasp. You were like petrified; not even your head would move to give a short nod of approval.

Fortunately for you, your lovely bartender seemed to understand you better than you would have thought, and once again gave a soft laugh. “I’ll take that as a yes.” She said teasingly and leaned back, taking her hands off your back and resting them on your shoulders instead. “Go ahead and finish your drink. I’ll see you then.”

And with that, she took her hands off your shoulders and stepped back from you, walking away.

You remained motionless for another moment, letting the events of the past moments sink in, then smiled as you took another sip from your whisky.

In the end, everything had gone a lot better than expected.
